nah, CS3
the render came in black and white, and it was hard to find colours that didn't clash too much with it

 

i would think you need to make a smaller size.

the perfect size imo, is 350x115.

and work on smudging and blending etc.

and you could also use C4d's and Fractals.

 

Did you use just a gradient for the background or did you do it yourself?

Did you stretch the guy in the pic at all? It looks a tad stretched.

Try a smaller size, maybe.

Also, different colors so you can blend the face in better.

 

No, the original picture was bigger, so I had to make him smaller

 

For a start, the picture looks nice =)

 

Don't listen to them... paint is fucking great for signatures ^_^.

Yea, like someone else said, smaller size. I don't know much else about them >.<.

 

Try using some c4ds and abstract brushes. Make the size of the sig smaller, to much free space. The text is a bit big and the render doesn't look that good. (A bit dark)
Look at some tuts and more tuts. After you get the hang of it, start creating some of your own style, and yeah..

I knew there was something missing from my signature, I just didn't know what they were called, I guess they're C4Ds, thanks! I'm downloading a bunch now

Haha it's really good for a first. I was just thinking back at my first and it was hilarious. You should read up on some tutorials and practice with some simple things then move your way up.

That's good for a 'first-ever' And yes, as Diax and Jesse have stated, tutorials would be a great start. You can try a smudge tutorial, which is used in many signatures.

You can pick a better render, because the one used in that tutorial is a bit choppy (the render has some white pixels on the edges of it, making it look like paper)

You can also add someone on msn who knows knows their way around photoshop if you don't know a certain feature/button. I know many things if you want to add me. But my point is that if you know where many of the things are in PS, then you're going to be good hands. (you can also google it though)

Paint isn't really ideal for making tags actually.
