How To Become Awsome At Guitar Hero

hey and welcome to my guitar hero guide

ok 1st off no this guide will not make you 100% dragonforce on expert , no satch boogie hot for teacher etc.

will just improve your skills.

2nd off if you think tom morello is one of the greatest guitarists ever just hang your head in shame press the back button and just leave... NO! BAD YOU!





ok my first piece of advice is NEVER PLAY BEGINER!

if you completley in capeable of playing easy mode dont play beginner continue to play easy beginner is alot different and doesnt help you to grasp the concept of guitar hero at all.

if you have more than 1 guitar hero dont constantly switch between the two of them. just play on for now.

for this guide i will use guitar hero 3 for example purposes.

once u have grasped the basics of playin easy my advice is to put the hyper speed cheat on.

this seems stupid at the moment. but playin easy with hyper speed on prepares you for the next stage. in this case medium.

while playin hyperspeed this only changes one factor. getting used to using your little finger can get rather annoying but after a while it will come naturally

here is the cheat






once you can play the MAJORITY of songs move onto hard.

dont try to 100% d force etc before moving on just pick up the basics of each level.

moving onto hard is well... hard at first lol.

most people here are like WTF I DONT HAVE THAT MANY FINGERS??!?!?!

well synister gates didnt exactly have trained spider helpin him hit the xtra chords for avenged solos did he? now its one extra finger take sum deep breaths and continue.

my advice for hittin the orange is to move your enitre hand up the frets.

so now you little finger shud be on orange. and obviously each following finger on the button preceeding it.

this seems annoying at 1st and i can guarantee you wont be used to it and u will hit red everytime you try to hit green when your fingers are in this position again you will get used to it.


at 1 point i cudnt play any solo above average without hyperspeed on.

while playin on hyperspeed it gives a larger area in which the notes can be hit without it clasisn as a miss.



TAPPING!!!!!


WOOO tapping this bits pretty cool and can make you look rather pro once you master it.

at certain points you will see some notes that are "glowing" in the center.

if you hit the proceeding note you do not need to strum for these notes.

if you hit the non glowing note you can start a chain and "tap" the button for the following glowing ones but if you miss one you will have to strum again.




this will make complex parts easier instead of strummin for everynote.

now for increidbly complex bits once youve mastered pretty much everything you can use 2 hands to tap.


strum to hit the 1st non glowing note and bring your strum hand up onto the orange note and tap the next part using both hands!

can be very hard to get this fast enuf but if it works it looks rather awsome


and well practice is the final point.

you can follow tips but without tryin them out several times your not going to get anywhere.

continue playin one song that your finding difficult and when u keep gettin stuck go to practice and practice that tiny bit a few timers till u can get it.

try get a little bit further everytime and soon enuf you will have it

ahh grammar nazi here. im a bad speller and bad at grammar. if u knew somthing was spelt wrong that means it was spelt well enough to be able to recognise the orignal word.
