Grats bud. I'm still working on a 2nd Lieutenant commission toward Infantry and eventually will hopefully become a Ranger. Rangers Lead the Way! Hooah!

And to your question, Major is a middle officer rank. There is still Lieutenant Colonel and Colonel before you get to stars. Which then goes to Brigadier General, Major General, Lieutenant General, General, General of the Army (Special Rank).

Major can take about 10-15 years to accomplish at average.

 

Nice, very good for them to get better jobs since the economy is bad. Actually it's very good considering both your parents got better jobs. Same is kind of happening with my parents, in the beginning of the recession my parents were screwed because they're real estate appraisals (pricing houses), but people stopped buying houses because of the bad economy, but they're getting more houses to sell now.

My parents are in a jam. My dad's a car dealer and cause economy is so bad, people stopped buying cars. But moving along right now.
