Running windows defender automatically

Steps:

1.Go to start and search for Windows Defender

2.Go to Tools


3.Click Options


4.You should have the first 2 checked(Third one is optional)


5.Scroll down and check "Use Windows Defender"



Moniotring programs with windows defender


Steps:

1.Go to Tools


2.Go to Software Explorer


3.There you can find what is currently running and add/remove programs.

Manually scan your computer

Steps:


1.Click the arrow next to Scan


2.You have 3 Options:
Full scan
Full scan basically scans your whole computer for viruses.

Quick scan
Quick scan takes a quick look at your files to check if you have any viruses.

Custom scan
In Custom scan you can pick which you would like to do,Quick scan,Custom scan,A mixture of both,Or basically scan only things you think have viruses.
