    Summary of each -

    1) Dialogue from an employee and a boss of a shop. Includes various images of them at work and their working conditions.

    2) The same as first, but no dialogue. Don't bother unless the first one didn't paint a clear enough picture.

    3) The best one. It's a full interview with one of the "professional gamers".

This was posted in 2006, but I'm sure things have not changed that much. It just gives you a idea of how these types of operations work. It should also give you a little empathy for these people, as it shows them as actual people, not some horrible people ruining games. I'm sure this is how things are run by Gold4RS, a Sythe partner. Perhaps Javen or one of his associates would like to comment about their Runescape version of this.

Like the guy in the third video said.. finding employment in China is hard to come by. By those horrible standards, they aren't that bad off.

Wow, must be hard to getgood payout if you can't speak good english.

Also playing a game 24/7 is really challenging, especially for me, I can't play a game for more than 2 hours if I'm lucky.

For some reason this was disturbing to me. It just goes to show the difference between China's economy compared to the United States.

I think you don't understand the nature of it. They aren't "game testers" like what America has, they basically play games for no rewards. It's a sad reality in the gaming world, but if there is a demand someone will fill it.

sry dude but i don't care, right now im playing games for no rewards and i love it!! lol it'd be sweet to be a gold farmer for like a month then i'd prolly want to kill myself lol :) but dude i could easily play a game for 3 days w / o sleep and not get bored of it as long as its a fun game not some like retarded game that was made in a day

They're getting paid peanuts.. I think that was his point. I would like to do that type of thing too, but with reasonable hours and decent pay.

    *Cough*

As additional proof, I had a random chat with gold4rs.

Feel free to (indirectly) ask them other questions regarding their offices, but I doubt these pictures are false. Being able to speak English in China is a very valuable skill. I'm sure these gold farm workers are above the rest of the population.
