You won't make $10k here within your first year or two. Better look into working part time for a consistent wage. Withdraw the rest of your balance immediately. It's 100x easier to get from $10k to $20k than $0 to $20k (without gambling). Goodluck

When you create and have a couple staking accounts then manage to sell one on for some gp, the ability to just gamble it away is way too available. It's not healthy. Remove yourself from situations like this and focus on something else imo

 

I think Cherub is mostly right and you should cut your losses because with $10k you can actually make $20k far easier than with 0 as you need capital to start up any business and speeds up the process. As for not telling your relatives, I can understand the shame but sometimes admitting you made a mistake might be better than holding that weight on your shoulders and ruining your mental health. I dont use sythe much and don't think its good as a proper job for anyone not living in a LEDC maybe a side hustle at best but like Cherub said are you sure you can control yourself when this place is a gambling scene? People will try tell you to gamble the rest on 52x2 on them to make up loses. You could just cover up your losses by saying you got scammed or invested stupidly if you want a cover up. I think there is a lot of factors to consider and depends on your circumstances. I sadly don't use sythe that much to guide you but I think Cherub is wrong to say you can't make $10-$20k in a year or two here I might be wrong and ill speak to him about it later but $10k-$20k is practically nothing and gold farmers make that. Hey there! I too have lost a lot of money to gambling as well, primarily staking on RS. I've dealt with a bad gambling addiction for years which got really bad about a year ago. I've lost close to at least $20K AUD alone on RS staking. Almost lost my fiance and kids over it. Every pay check I got, it would be $500-$1000 straight onto RS and gone within a day. I had good moments where I made A LOT of money, but eventually lost it. The feeling is what used to get to me. It was never about the money for me, purely the feeling of winning a big stake and having so much on the line. I made promises to my fiance that was going to buy her stuff with the winnings I had once (roughly 7B OSRS gold) I sold it off, and just lost it all (14B in total) a few hours later.

I curbed the addiction once I learnt that I either had to stop spending money on the game or lose my family. The shame that comes with telling your family you have a gambling addiction though is hard, but is a true wake up call though. We all make bad decisions and bad mistakes, but that's what learning is for. You know your gambling is bad, so don't do it. Take out the rest of the money you have and put it aside, cool off a bit and re-assess everything. Get yourself a job and focus on MAKING money rather than losing it.

The problem with gambling is the fact you know there's a possibility of making a lot of money from it. But that's just it... A possibility, one which is far less likely to happen as opposed of losing your money which you're most likely guaranteed to have happen. Don't try chasing your loses because you'll just lose even more. Accept the loss, and make a change with what you have left. At least you still have some savings left and haven't lost it all. Focus your energy that you have with gambling into doing something that's guaranteed to make you money.

 

This is solid advice but the problem is, myself along with all gambling addicts don't feel the losses anymore unless they're big losses.

Personally losing $100 feels like dropping a $2 coin into the drain. Sucks, but no biggie.

That 100 turns into thousands though within a matter of hours. In this way, I've lost over 150k+ AUD from 2018-2020.

I have enough money to sustain myself IRL and I have no real goals to try and save up to. I own my own property and I have a little saved up in a Term Deposit.

 

I can relate man, been there. I wouldn't advise making a staking account shop as a side hustle since thats gambling in itself. Maybe start a shop of some sort? services like questing or account builds. Give a gambling help line a call you never know how far it will go.

 

YOU DO NOT NEED TO FIX THIS

Don't try to win it back-- today is your new starting point. You have 10k my guy, that's honestly a lot for most people. Look into online or in-person help for gambling addiction, because it's likely you have a problem with that. Pay a bit off your credit cards if you have any debt and take it from here.

I think creating staking account will defeat the object as cherub states.

However it is possible to make $10k on Sythe within your first year - in the last 18 -19 months or so i have been apart of Sythe i have made over 10k, it was not easy.

There are other ways use that 10k you have left over to invest into yourself learn a new skill the sky is the limit and with the right patience and time you can do a lot with 10k you will never regain your losses through gambling without luck.

Invest in some kind of skill that can make you real money.

Gambling is only there to be fun, maybe find a side piece to have fun a game, a study.

 

gambling is not a source for a financial life. Well not if you are not a professional. If its a website you’re gambling on, get it blocked on your devices and use ur guilt to try and block yourself from thinking about it. I think having family will motivate you. As most of the other ppl said, a job would be best to get your money back faster.

In Denmark we have two resolutions to this; we either make a call to betting adicts phoneservice who kicks you out of all websites and what now, or you can attend to some meetings like the AA where people can relate and help eachother.

Fortunately you can self-ban yourself from places once you realize this is affecting you. Every step forward away from gambling in this situation the better.

Gambling shouldn't be looked at a way to make money unless you own the house edge. Gambling should only be a source of entertainment and you play with what you are willing to lose. Once this entertainment becomes a problem like any addictiin. Then you need to walk away.

You can start by making investments in stocks. The stock market is very profitable right now with low risk if you do your research. Download the app “Robinhood” for ios. I’m sure it is also available for android. You can make quick flips by buying shares for companies that are stable and always profiting. You can choose to hold onto shares for big companies like McDonald’s, Apple, and Tesla. You will be given dividends over time if you do (small payouts). You can also invest in stocks with cheap shares if you look more into who owns them etc. There are many Youtube videos that go into detail about this. You can sell your stock shares and cash out any time, and the payout comes in a weeks time. Gambling is a sure way to lose a lot of money, especially if you gamble big. It is very easy to lose 5 or even 10 bets in a row, so if you do plan on continuing (which I don’t advise), start small.

 

stop chasing the thrill better you're focus on something else besides trying to win a quick check ? You already have some saving why get greedy, remind yourself that next time you consider wagering you're money which was probably worked hard for...

If you are gonna blow the money then spend it on investments! stay consistent with whatever you do but do not try to cheat life into quick buck! it always backfires

flipping is still a form of gambling. Dividend investing are probably more better in terms of minimizing risk. Though, investing a minimal amount (if you cannot afford to invest frequently to build the dividend portfolio) doesn't return much.
