New post rankings

Because that's the word we want 13 year old's to be seeing as someone active on the site.

 

Whore is not that bad. I do not use it much, but I use it. To be honest, Post Whore sounds good. By the way, I'm 13.

 

I still think we should incorporate some kind of ranking system based on a reputation count. The majority of forums thse days are based upon this yet we still seem to rely on just vouches for trust. We have so many complaints about our current ranking system because people are claiming that "you cant trust a guru just because they have a high post count", and we consistently have multiple thread of leechers complaining about it, but with a rep. ranking system then you WOULD be able to trust a guru. And yes I also think that there should be more user titles introduced into the ranks so that the exceptional members in this group of people can stand out as being trusted and respected, because eventually there will be a huge number of Guru's and if Grand master is the highest, then we could also end up eventually having the majority of sythes members all the same rank :/





And a bit off-topic....

And we also want 13 year olds to see numerous signatures that contain sexual material eg. Finns old siggy (I dont object or anything about that) and also the member "Runescape Blows" with the signature of the woman half naked putting on her pants while her jugs are shaking about. Do we really care if 13 year olds are offended by this site? Or are we aiming to eventually have a community of immature children that don't understand even simple concepts of games.

 

How is whore not a bad word?

I think when it's used in the context of posting on a forum it's not considered a bad word.

Also, my idea would maybe for there to be a rank with a name that refers to typing?, or a keyboard perhaps?

 

Is there a list of all the ranks?

Sythe Master
Sythe God
Sythe Addict

There's a lot of people with over 2,000 posts. If you don't know them, how could you classify them (In Sythe's position)? If you didn't give them one and they had just as many posts as the other people with it, how is that fair?

 

Ranks already encourage spam... imagine what more will do.

 

We should just demolish all user titles then.

Can you prove that they encourage spam?

 

If you manage to find the time to post 10,000 times the title should be something like *needs to take up a new hobby*

 

Amen to that, most 13 year old witness an orgy by now. And this is a Game/Off-Topic site, not a, "Keep Our Teens Clean Because we Repsect (their religious belief)" site.

 

Nice idea, I support.

I'm not aiming this at anyone specific, although I do believe there should be some humor to the idea.

Maybe you should be able to choose your own rank after you past 2k posts

 

At 10,000 posts you should have the rank of No-Life.

 

7k post = The Chosen Ones
10k = Master No-Lifer
