What do you believe in?


Most people will say Heaven. I'm a christian. I believe in God. But for some reason I just don't believe in heaven. I don't believe that when you die, you go to some heaven where everything is perfect. I don't believe that I will ever see my step-mom again.

Is everyone walking around up there? Or what. I wish I could die and come back to life so I wouldn't waste my time thinking of this shit.

There is a religion that I'm really looking into called Jainism. When you die, you go through different layers of heaven and hell. 30 layers of heaven and 7 layers of hell.

I don't know. Just give me your thoughts on what happens when you die.

humans are animals, don't start "we are civilized" because that bullshit, we still use animal instincts everyday. no one knows where we go after death

 

Maybe our life is on loop mode and we just live the same life over and over. I personally believe in an after life and have no religion, but I do believe in God because there has to be a creater. If we ACTUALLY knew the right religion there would only be one today.

 

I think we'll go to heaven after we die if we haven't been too naughty Doesn't it suck to think that you won't ever see your step-mom again? How can you live with that?

I'm not entirely sure about Heaven, but after having a few instances of witnessing ghosts, and what some people call poltergeists, I believe there is an afterlife, I just don't know where it is.

Of course it was only you who saw it, and you had no confirmation bias and couldn't get evidence, right?

 

Im catholic and i believe that when we die we go to the heaven but before entering the heaven u have to make it through the purgatory that is where u pay all the sins you made in your life by praying...

Because we can't do wrong things and don't get pay'd for it.

 

Your assumption here is that all actions must be compensated for justly - why is this? What if they simply aren't?

 

I didn't say I was the only one ever to witness one; learn to read correctly. The paranormal investigators that came to my house got evidence though. They didn't get photographs, but they detected very high energy levels where the ghost was near. And after seeing a book fly across the room for no reason, I'm sure there is an after life. There are a ton more eye witnesses out there of ghosts, not only me, and these eye witness accounts have become so common that there's even a job open having to do with ghosts; paranormal investigator.

 

Let's accept for a moment that you really did see a book flying across a room. Why would you think that ghosts did it?

 

But, what would you think of it if a 3 lb book just flew across the room.

 

I'd think I was hallucinating, or somebody played some very technical practical joke.
Thinking a ghost did it just doesn't make sense.

 

But where not talking about ghosts. Soo let's stay on topic.

 

I was home by myself and I was sitting at the table that had the book on it and I just saw it fly across the room for no reason at all. I don't care if you believe me or not, I'm just saying what I experienced and why I believe in life after death.

A ghost is a spirit, a spirit is part of the after life if it's living after death, so we're still on topic.

 

Have you ruled out other more likely reasons for this to have happened? (Ex, you were dreaming, temporarily insane, etc)

I really doubt that happened, especially with all the millions of people who just know that God(s) exists and they have seen him and talked to him.
