    Simple suggestion.

If someone posts something that tells you not to post said thing on a sticky, temporarily ban them.

    That'll teach 'em.

    Good idea.

Don't you mean more in depth? More complicated would just confuse people..

But then 40% of Sythe's market section would be banned... And we don't want that now, do we?

Their fault for not reading the rules in the first place, that which you should always do.

It would look terrible for a community to have half of it's members banned (even temp). 2 point infractions are removed so it's getting less strict.

Ok, an alternative? A warning, then a temporary ban.

If they can't follow the rules after being given a warning, then they really shouldn't be here.

Louis, if this gets approved sythe will loose alot of revenue via site traffic.

Also, We'll be known as the ban hammer site.

One last note, one day you wont read a sticky and you'll be banned and you will be pissed.

I agree with the idea of telling the 8 year olds to gtfo.

1). Redirect them to the right place if their new, if they do it again, infract them.

2). If you just ban/infract them, how will they ever learn what they did wrong and how to improve on it without some simple redirection?

Stickies should also stand out more, change the color to bright titles or..If you have cleared cookies (new users) when you first visit Sythe, show a small TOS and the first things to do before browsing the forums.
