To be honest. Bring Me The Horizon sucks. But I do admit. Some breakdowns by them kinda rock over some white chapel breakdowns. But I wouldn't listen to them. They're more into there fans, trends that they start.

I just downloaded their album "Suicide Season".

I don't like them much at all though. I dislike them more than i like them hahah.

I MIGHT go see them when they come here in May just because theres no better concerts to go to around that time.

 

I like deathcore, metalcore and all that shit, but Bring Me The Horizon, meh. My friend likes it, I don't.

I fucking love Bring me the Horizon, I have all their fucking songs on my Ipod. Suicide Season is alright, the only songs I like are Death Breath, Diamonds Aren't Forever, The Comedown, and Sleep with One Eye Open.

The only reason BMTH became popular is because of their new album though, because Deathcore isn't as popular as Post Hardcore and Metalcore, they got more attention. They say they were young when they made all the Death music and they don't like it anymore but I think it's just a change to a more popular genre to get more attention. They've always been good even before Suicide Season, I mean they went to Warped Tour before Suicide Season, so yeah.

Best songs: Traitors Never Play Hangman, Medusa, Black and Blue, Braile, A lot Like Vegas, Rawwwrr!, They Have No Reflections, Off the Heezay, all their songs own, but I don't feel like posting them all.

I try not to like Chelsea Smile that much since it's me and my ex's song, but it's so damn good.

 

I don't even find Bring Me the Horizon listenable at all. Really not my kind of music. My friend Shannon used to be crazy about them, but I never really heard anything good by them >_>

Ugh, I hate this style of metal.

I hate what metal is coming too, its just all trendy emo kids trying to be tough. God I can't stand it.

 

It's not Metal, it's similar, but definitely not the Metal you're talking about. It's just a different type of heavy music, they're mostly Deathcore, but they're new album is Post Hardcore and Metalcore, but Metal isn't changing, there are still original Metal bands out there. For example, you'll only find Bring me the Horizon at Warped Tour, and all the original Metal is at Mayhem, so they do separate themselves to not mix the genres.

 

How CAN you find them listenable?

 

Hardcore is a subgenre of Metal. Metalcore is a subgenre of Metal and Hardcore, and Deathcore is a subgenre of Death Metal and Hardcore.

So in fact, it is Metal. Its OK though, trends can have their fun, all trends die outs sooner or later and I can't wait for all these types of bands who are plaguing the metal scene to die out.

 

Yes, they are related and similar, but how is it destroying the Metal scene? Not enough people like your type of music so you're going to get pissed about it? I listen to both Metal and all types of Hardcore music, but they have major differences. Like I said before, you find all those Hardcore bands at Warped Tour and all the Metal bands at Mayhem, they're separated and don't involve each other.

 

I guess I just hate kids who think they listen to the most badass stuff out there and have absolutely no clue what they are talking about.

At least you are cool to talk with because you know what you are talking about, but other kids that I have talked on here and in school just think that there shit is the best stuff out there.

I know that I am sort of acting the same way, but I try to make a point to these people that No there music isn't badass, its just trendy, No its not the best stuff ever, open up your ears and listen to more music.

Don't get me wrong though, I listen to other types of music all the time. I love techno, jazz, 80's music, some alternative and mainstream rock, but I mostly listen to metal. Just not the stupid trendy shit.

I guess it also pisses me off when emo kids come to my bands shows too and try to mosh. They just make themselves look like retards lol.

Yeah, I agree with you lol, it is annoying to see guys dress up like girls and then try to make up for their girliness by listening to heavy music, but yeah Metal is the original stuff and should get more attention. I started out as listening to Metal, then I heard some Metalcore bands and just liked them more, but I still listen to Metal every now and then, but I think Deathcore is the closest you can get to Metal because it has similar guitar riffs, just a different type of singing, which is screaming.

 

Hardcore is a subgenre of punk. Trend bands come and go but trend music never dies out, there is always going to be poser bands.

 

I really find nothing wrong with BMTH yeah alot of people dont like them like most of the people in my town but its all about what you are into when it comes to music tastes we could argue about this all day and we wont get anywhere I think they are good even though its all growls and screams Its just good music for me to chills to, but its not the only band

I know my friend tried showing me a BMTH song and I didn't like it though. That one up there certainly isn't better either.
