Sarad0m1nz's Guide to Ankous

This is my 3rd guide and I hope you guys enjoy it.

What are Ankous?



The ankous this guide is about are lvl 75 undead monsters. They can be found on lvl 4 on the stronghold of safety. These guys can hit quite frequently, so it will use up quite a bit of food.

Drops worth picking up

* Blood Runes * Battlestaff
* Death Runes * Harralander+ Herbs
* Law Runes * Pure Essence
* Mithril Ore * Adamant Arrows
* Bass * Clue Scroll (lvl 3)
* Charms (Summoning)

Requirements

* Minimum of 90 combat (I highly insist on this, otherwise not worthwhile)
* Minimum of 70 defence / attack / strength.
* Good armor / Weapon ( Rune armor+ / Dragon weapons+).
* Decent Food (Lobsters and anything above is good).

Getting There

1. With your gear, teleport to varrock. From there head west until you reach barbarian village. Then click on the hole to enter.



2. Click on the portal, and go down the ladder. Proceed until you are at the fourth level. When you are there do NOT click on the portal.

3. When you go down the ladder on the third lvl, your minimap should look like the one below. Folow the line and the red circle is where you'll find your lvl 75 ankous.




Recommended Equipment

Rich / Medium / Poor





Also neitiznot helm can be substituted for all helms. All of these are vague suggestions, there are way too many outfits to suggest, so feel free to customise.

Inventory



Bring a spec weapon of your choice. Eg: Dragon BattleAxe, Dds, G maul etc.
Bring a tele to get out of there when done.
Bring some str / att / def pots. (Optional)
Bring food that's heals atleast 12+.

Method

1# If you have the outfits above, and a full pack of food, keep killing them until you've run out of food.
Then use melee pray and until your to about 20 hp. Then tele out and bank, and recharge prayer at either monk's monastery or varrock church.



Go up the stairs and there will be an altar, where you can recharge pray.



When you get out of stronghold of security you can head north, and turn west at the fork, and you'll reach the monastery.

Rewards

You can make atleast 100k per hour here based on your drops. This is recommended for members only.



It's also possible to gain 45k - 50k xp per hour.

And if your lucky you sometimes might get this much



Tips

* When your on low life and out of pray, and restocking, have tuna to restore your life. It's cheap and effective, much cheaper than using lobs to restore life.
* Pick up bass, because I think they heal around 14 - 16, which is pretty good, considering you get hit often.
* Use your specs as much as you can, it helps in killing them faster, so you sustain less damage.

How about ranged? Is that good with ankous?

 

Range is good with ankous, but it's hard for it to be effective when they aggressive.

The one thing I could suggest, is Neitzoit > Berserker > Torags.

This is for all wealth classes.

 

Note: Portals don't work if you haven't completed it in the first place.
Anyways very good guide.

 

I haven't ever completed stronghold of security but works for me, I think it has to do with the combat levels of the person.

Yeah I tried ankous a while back ago and it does actually give you around 100k RSGP per hour.

I go to Aviansies now, it's so much faster in terms of earning RSGP.

Would you waste your time training at Ankous in members? There are way more plenty of places to train in members.

Why?

Because you think Salve Ammy works there.

Ankous are both Zombie and Undead, meaning Salve amulet does not work.

[It's been proven]

 

That might be one aspect of my guide that's wrong but judge the whole thing based on that?
