Which president is better? Obama or Bush?

And I thought Bush was going to start World war 3.

Hmm, Bush had a solid 8 years in office, he had a lot of people that disliked him too, But he still managed to get the second year, And he did a amazing job as the president, But Obama probably and honestly won because of his skin color and decent speeches, but more on his color. He also has had barely any experience in office but has done so much worse then bush for the start. So bush gets my vote.

 

You guys saying Bush took us to war or was going to take us to WWIII don't know what you're talking about. Our presidents can't just take us to war, congress has to vote on it. It wasn't his war, it was the countries war.

 

He is the one that asked congress if he could deploy... Many people think that he did not need to do as much as he did... He practiced preemptive war... Which is general viewed as unjust.

The would not let anyone tell the FBI or CIA about terrorists in our country... they even stopped spying on them say they were not allowed to by law... all the had to do is go infront of a judge...

I voted Obama, from what I've seen I prefer him.

 

How can anyone possible answer this question? What basis for comparison do we have? 8 years of Bush vs 2 months of Obama?
A better question would have been: Who's had a better first two months as president, Bush or Obama? because at least that's a fair, comparable question.

That is a bit of a stretch, think about it. Bush started the Iraq war. Obama was handed the Iraq war. You can't blame Obama for Bush and America's downfall in the previous 8 years. I think he will turn out to be a good president (maybe not the savior everyone was hoping for.. but still).

 

All the people thought Obama was going to turn into a one-day wonder. With time comes choices that he will have to make, and then we can possibly compare them. Although I think Bush was a moron, I still think Obama has to prove himself.

You can't tell at all. Obama just got in office. He started off with the biggest spending in U.S. history, so lets see how that goes. So far the $30 billion he just gave to AIG is going toward $75,000 carpets in Executive sweeps. Hes got the right intentions, just didn't regulate the bills enough. He said he would read through every single bill word by word, its obvious he hasn't because much spending is going toward pointless things.

He was correct about gradually pulling out of Iraq, its just that now he moved the target to Afghanistan, which is MUCH worst than Iraq currently. The Afghans defeated the Russians, the British, and many other great nations due to mountainous warfare. My current unit is deploying to Afghanistan in January of 2010. The unit just got back from south of Kabul, Afghanistan last January after 14 months of being deployed. Why do you think the majority of soldiers were for McCain? They didn't want to be all sent to Afghanistan.

But meh, I specifically didn't like McCain or Obama. But Obama could do something great, just waiting for the change.. Oh wait.. I saved 2 cents on my taxes in my last paycheck! Woot the change is coming! True story.
