Good show I think, to anyone that has real experience in gangs; is the show truthful or does it exaggerate for viewers?

I think the show is pretty good.I've watched a few episodes.I don't have experience in gangs so I wouldn't know if it is truthful or not lol.

I'm pretty sure it's accurate. I did a research paper on Gangs once.

The show is very accurate, especially the information is from real gang members, I found out that pretty much any pot i buy has passed through the Latin Kings and they profit off it. And yes there is a high population of Latino kids at my school lol. Im in Chicago and its good to know that its where the Latin Kings are centralized, makes me feel safe (Not rly of course)

I did see it this morning, about the MS-13

To clear it up, yes I am from El Salvador, and I have visited before. The scenes that were shot from El Salvador had to be one of the poorest towns in the country. Yes, I was in some, I was in the Industrial District also, where there was Mariott hotels, Hilton Royals, and even a Maserati dealership! Yes, the gang is very dangerous, but you don't see shootouts everywhere, which the show tries to state

I have been watching this show too. The thing that amazes me is how much gangs and college fraternities have in common, ie. initiation, members are called brothers, you are a brother for life. The only difference is that gangs are more violent and are based on drugs, guns, prostitutes, etc.

Fark, imagine our streets were filled with gangs like the game: Grand theft auto San Andreas. Drive bys every single day.
    Grove street ftw?
