Which one should I get? + Need Ipod help

Okay,
So within 3 months I'll be Moving and looking into a laptop, I have around 1000$ to spend.
I want something with a fast start up, (1 - 2 minutes preferably).
Basicly all I do is Play runescape, Go on msn, And go on myspace, And watch ALOT of movies and listen to ALOT of music, I'm a bit of a music freak. I'm not into hardcore games for pc. Also I want a Windows xp/vista computer.
And one that can hook up too surround sound speaker system, I have one that hooks up too my desktop its made for pcs.
And I need help putting games/videos on my Ipod nano 4th gen 8 gig.
So please advise me on what laptop I should get.
And give me a link to a tut on Ipods or tell me here. Pleaseeee.
