Explanation of the trade: I send him $~336.5 in BTC, he gives me $660m OSRS
How they scammed:
This only is done on people who both pay in BTC as well as forget to ask for Sythe PM.

-Opens ticket bot channel in his discord server
-Agrees on trade and gives BTC wallet address
-Once transaction completes, he closes discord bot channel ticket, and acts like he doesn't know you
-You now have no chat logs, no proof that there ever was a ticket channel, no proof that the btc address is his, etc. His rep is safe and your money is his.

He now knows that he could be screwed, as video is very damning. But he also knows that I never requested a Sythe PM, so he could just nuke the entire discord if he needed to. (funnily enough, he just nuked & remade his discord channel a month ago)

I then realize that to connect the video (if I had one) to his Sythe account, I would need to have him PM me on Sythe saying that we never had an agreement, he never sent a BTC address, etc. Despite talking to me for ~20 mins about how he never scammed me, he cant be bothered to PM someone on Sythe. Big surprise. Smart play by him though:




I finally realize that I can incentive him to PM me on Sythe if I add that as a clause to another gold trade. IE BTC for 5m OSRS + PM from him stating what he said in discord (that he didn't scam). Big surprise again, ghosted:




Ultimately, I understand that by not requesting a Sythe PM in the first place, I was easily scammed because I had no proof that this ever happened. He can simply delete the entire discord ticket channel, and all evidence is wiped. I will be sure to use PMs from now on; I admittedly have only bought gold once in my life, and never a big amount like this. Should've done more research.

My main goal of this thread is to ultimately get a note of some sort for the mods to watch this guy. He has several imposter reports etc despite being a small marketplacer, I suspect it's just him pulling these types of elaborate scams.

I'd like to reiterate the timeline:
-4:25pm: I join his disc
-4:33pm: I tell a friend that I'm in a gold seller's discord ticket channel
-4:46pm: I make BTC transfer of $330 to address after figuring out authenticator etc. He says to wait for confirmation
-4:58pm: BTC block is publicly confirmed as successful transfer
-4:58pm-5:02pm: Discord ticket channel is deleted
-5:02pm: I post in #General asking where my #ticket channel went, not realizing that I was just scammed
-5:02pm+: Halo3rules24 claiming we've never interacted

The timeline exemplifies what happened, and the BTC payment converts to 660m, the current price of gold at .50/m. I was never in any pms with this guy etc. I can assure you that I did not throw away $330 btc just to make a fake report about someone on Sythe. This guy is a rat; please keep an eye on him. He is scamming people in a very smart way.

Also take note that my latest ticket is number 0015 in his discord; odd that he nukes his discord tickets so often back to 0. I assume it would at least be in the hundreds range by now. If you can somehow request proof from him, my original ticket was ticket channel #ticket-0014. The ticket bot he is using logs and keeps all of them. I imagine he would just photoshop that channel to a discussion with another customer though.

So yeah, I know I'm fucked because I didn't get a Sythe PM. I'm just asking that the mods watch this guy in the future, and somehow keep this thread searchable in case it happens again.

Also, I am unsure if there's any other damning evidence that I can provide, so if you have any ideas, please let me know. Thanks.

 

This guy is just trying to frame me after sending btc to his own address.
Out of nowhere he posts in my discord that he doesn't know where his ticket went.
After that he makes a ticket and accuses me of taking the money and scamming him.
He is clearly trying to frame me, he never made #ticket-0014 that was made by another discord user asking me if I wanted to buy his account iirc.

I find it also very strange why you edit your own discord profile out, is there any reason for this?
I believe you are known for doing these kind of stuff hence why your name is edited out on every pic.

That would make sense, if I was here seeking financial compensation via refund; I'm not. I have nothing to gain by 'framing' you here. I didn't pay the ~$15 coinbase transaction fee just to troll a random person on runescape forums.

I'm here to publicize what happened to me in your discord server, talking to you over your own discord account, and that's it.

You're a liar and a fraud. A smart one, I'll give you that.

I'm going to reiterate to the mods that I understand that I have no Sythe PM so no bulletproof evidence. Thus, all I ask is that you somehow keep watch of this guy or make a note on his acc that only other mods can see. That way in the future, if you have others coming forward with these same types of scams from him, (some with more proof than mine), you have a better picture painted of where this is all starting.

I would also like to add that I'm not really here to sit here and crucify this guy, I really don't give a shit about Sythe so it's pointless for me to be more active than I need to. I simply tried buying gold, came to Sythe, got outsmarted by this guy for $330, and am publicizing it before I leave.

I will now do that. Mods, if there's any other ideas for proof I can get you, I would be glad to do that. Otherwise there is no use in discussing further with this scammer, as I have nothing further to add. So with that, I'm leaving the site.

You 'Believe that I'm well known for fake reports' yet if you search my identity that you posted, you'd see that I'm not known for anything of the sort. That's absurd; I redacted my discord because it's not pertinent to the thread, sythe, or anything related to RS really. But go ahead and look me up; you'll see who I am and that I'm clean.

Additionally, the ticket bot he is using clearly has both logging channels as well as the ability to reopen tickets after they've been closed. This is why the tickets go up to the thousands in other servers, yet are at 0014 in his server. He nukes them.

I don't get that much customers so why you expect me to have tickets in the 1k+?
I only made a discord server mid last month, even if you close or delete a ticket the count goes up and doesn't go down.
You clearly know how everything works etc and am the perfect victim for you to do this on me since am not that good in the technical side.

I already told you if you can tell me how I can view deleted tickets I can show you that #14 and prove you wrong.

Like many, I browse with a VPN nearly 24/7 and was not aware that this was not allowed on Sythe. I don't even know what kind of 'case' you're referring to; I'm simply submitting a complaint with what retroactive evidence I have. I seek no compensation. I have nothing to gain by posting here aside from contributing to the greater good of RS communities; what's lost has been lost.

Yep you can see people in his Discord, even though it's 'Low Traffic', two others have publicly said there that they've been scammed by an imposter upon joining. Funny that such a low volume trader has more imposters than the big boys.

I mean even look at this case:

-The buyer asks for Sythe PM
-Halo3rules24 PMs the buyer on Sythe with unique chat logs from their exact discord PM conversation, proving it is actually him in that discord conversation
-Halo3rules24 scams and ghosts the buyer after BTC payment
-Halo3rules24 claims that he doesn't know the guy, and that he wasn't in that discord PM.
-He claims that he PM'd on Sythe because an imposter asked him to about another account

If this is the case, and Halo3rules24 wasn't in that Discord PM conversation with the buyer, how did he send exact discord chat logs with the buyer to the buyer on Sythe? He allegedly wasn't in the Discord PM at all, so there's no way he could've PM'd the chat logs from it to the buyer through Sythe. That's logically impossible.

You have a system on Sythe of PMing chat logs from Discord through Sythe to confirm identity. The report above exemplifies that Halo3rules24 PM'd him with exact chat logs, showing that he is the scammer that ghosted the buyer in Discord. Yet the mods barely even took the time to look at the actual report, just accepted it as resolved because the ignorant buyer accepted that he was scammed by an imposter. He proved that he was scammed by Halo3rules24.







Halo3rules24 is obviously scamming BTC, and this guy is fucking good. He's slipping through the mod's hands. Or he's affiliated with them; who knows at this point.

Halo3rules24 has nuked his Discord's #general channel as of today. So I joined his Discord on an alternate account, and he immediately PMs me on discord, does not contact me through his discord server

He then tells me in PM that he only does trades worth more than 500m. This has never been the case with Halo3rules24, he's been doing transactions from 50-499m for many months. In fact, this month he's done 90m, 100m, 200m; check his trades and vouch history. He's looking for very large trades only after I submitted this report last night. Note: he's also offering .51/m, which was the same rate he gave me last night for the same BTC scam.




Funny enough, he uses the same verbage that the supposed discord imposter used to scam the last guy in this thread:

I then open a ticket in his nuke'd discord server, and he says that we can talk here since it's more secure. Yet, upon PM'ing me first, he never talked about opening a ticket as the most secure method, nor ever once talked about Sythe PMs. Just UUID check





I think it's also important to note that I saw moderator BlackBlasses join Halo3rules24's discord around midday today, and then my main discord account was banned from Halo3rules24's discord. Shortly later, the discord was nuked by removing #general where others have complained about being scammed, and Halo3rules24 is now only seeking large amounts of BTC through disc PM.

I have no clue if BlackBlasses joining caused Halo to nuke his discord, or if the two are affiliated in any way. Regardless, it caused Halo to cover his tracks and wipe it all.

Do not be fooled, this guy is getting exposed and is trying to exit scam for large amounts of BTC. I hope that the moderation team can put the proof together from the several reports and take some sort of action before this guy actually scams more money.

Go check my latest pages in my vouch thread they all been big trades, I only deal in bulk and have been for the past months.
My gold buying/selling threads also says BULK.
How do you match me with the imposter for asking if you do crypto since thats the only payment method I and many others take for rsgp sales.
I didn't "nuke" my discord, I just made it so you can't see the general chat anymore since ppl keep joining my discord just to scout through my members list and scam them by impostering as me.
Blackblasses joined my discord to check the audit logs on my discord server and after that he left.

You're clearly here to just waste my and sythe mods time.
You can check my vouch thread after this report I bought a sythe members 900m07 without problems.

Also, yes my point is that you do have vouches for large trades. You are a legit seller until a noob comes along with BTC, and you scam them because they have no proof. You do this through your own imposter accounts that you use when someone joins your discord, as well as by closing tickets in your discord server.

The scam report I've referenced earlier has damning evidence that proves that you scammed that user. He asked for Sythe PM with chat log, you Sythe PM'd him with discord chat log, then you scammed him with that same discord account (later claiming it was an imposter who somehow got private chat logs). You're lucky he was ignorant enough to believe that it was an imposter. The evidence shows that it was you.


I honestly don't give a fuck about your business, about Sythe, etc. I give a fuck about the money you stole from me, as well as the health of OSRS communities in general. I have nothing to gain by ruining your reputation aside from a little emotional reparation, hoping that you won't be able to prey on newcomers again.

I believe you are that imposter that scammed him and after I got all your sythe accounts banned you are just trying to take revenge on me and giving it all just to get me banned and frame me.
