Anyone like anime?

Hey everyone!

I was wondering if there were any big anime fans here. If so, let's chat about it!

I've seen so many shows and I'm always looking for new ones.


If you don't like anime please keep your opinion to yourself.


So the list of shows I've watched in over two years:

InuYasha, Code Geass, Death Note, Naruto, Naruto Shippuude (up to date), Tsubasa Chronicles, Tokyo Mew Mew, Shakugan No Shana, Elemental Gelade, Club to Death Angel, History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi, Ghost Hunt, Tokyo Underground, Wolf's Rain ... and some more. I can't think of them all as of yet.

So anyone wanna recommend a few shows to me? Or just chat about some? I'm open to any discussion about it.

Whats Death Note all about? I always hear of people watching Death Note.

 

Yes! Dragon Ball Z is anime!

Death Note is a really great series. It's about a high school student who finds a notebook that a Shinigami (god of death) has dropped. Using the notebook, the main character, Light/Raito, uses it to kill criminals to make "the perfect world". During his attempts in making the world crime-free, he comes face-to-face with the world's greatest detective who is trying to get Light to admit he really is the murderer they call Kira.

Code Geass is on the similar lines too. A high school student receives this ability called Geass and the Geass allows him to manipulate people. But unlike Death Note, this series revolves around the high school student trying to reclaim Japan to create a peaceful world for his sister.

Both shows really keep you on the edge of your seat though!

 

Oh yeah, i remember reading about death note one time.

To be honest, the story line sounds rather boring though.

Have you seen Final Fantasy: Advent Children? Thats anime, i haven't seen it yet, speaking of which, i might try to download it now! lol.

 

Storyline does sound boring, but it's actually very good. Check it out if you get the time

InuYasha,,Naruto, I watched them all when I was a kid. Now I think they're pretty boring. I think i've heard of death note.

 

Lol, anime shows randomly die, leaving viewers utterly disappointed.

 

I was never quite a fan of anime. I remember my mediocre like of it came when I was around 11 when DBZ was playing on Toonami in Cartoonnetwork. Gosh, damn cartoonnetwork was back in the days, the had the good old boomerang series which always interested me (unlike the crap they have now a days, what is it camp lazlo, flapjack or shit like that?)


Death note, I also saw on CArtoonnetwork's adult swim. I think I saw the first episode of it, sorta found it interesting. Watched the last half of the second episode on adult swim the following week and it definitely seemed interesting, the crimes and shit. So I started hitting it up online and watched all 38 episodes of it I think, quite interesting tbh, considering that I'm not even an anime fan.

Same goes for Naruto, watched most of the normal episodes, lacked off on shipoden or something like that.

How many Death Note Episodes are there?

I was looking up Dragon Ball Z and like to download them was 30gig+ and i don't think thats all their episodes either.

I looked on my friends hard drive and he has 20gig of Avatar: That Last Airbender lol! Thats not anime i don't think, but yeah i just thought that was amusing.

 

Tyson, Advent Children is one of the best films i've ever seen. Good on you. Lol!

I like Anime, depending on what it is, not into the entirely entirely Japanese Anime, but yeah, it's good. Final Fantasy would be the best though.

 

I dont really like it, not that kind of person. But then again i've never sat down and tried to watch it.

 

I can probably recommend a bit if you have a particular genre in mind.

 

I've seen a lot of anime. Favorites include Welcome to the NHK, Berserk, Serial Experiments Lain, Claymore and so on.

What animes do you consider good? I wouldn't call Death Note shitty, and there is tonnes of worse stuff out there.

Well it's a matter of personal opinion on which shows are good. But it seems to me that Sharcoth only said that to be rude ... no offense. I don't care that you think they are all cruddy. How about YOU tell me what you've seen?

Well as you can see from the list above, I generally watch any kind as long as the storyline is great. Tell me what you've seen

 

It was fun while it lasted through middle school but, it got boring for me as I entered high school.

 

Yeah. Well ... anime is not for all people Some love it whilst others detest it. I don't see why people actually hate it so much they rag and make fun of others for it.

I love anime though. I spend more time watching anime then normal television; all I watch on T.V are crime shows, i.e. CSI, Navy NCIS, Crime Stories, 72 Hours True Crime, etc..

 

I don't think they're all cruddy, that was Sharcoth. If you like Naruto, then you'd probably also get into Bleach. Take a look on here, it's a recommendations database;
