I'm starting to see where your going with this. But to an extent. I don't support abortions just because, only a reason. It doesn't have to be a serious reason like rape, but if the baby being born is no real threat to anyone, I don't see why you would want to kill something for no reason.

The topic is very debatable but I don't see anyone finding common ground in this. Also, I see how you think about a baby's life, the only thing that makes your feelings entirely different from people who think abortion is cold blooded murder. And you have achieved the very important non bias trait that lets you become a perfect cross examiner for many situations.

so, all you abortion supporters...i assume you support partial birth abortion as well? you know what that is? the baby comes half out, then they cut the back of his head with a pair of scissors, then hook up a powerful vacuum that sucks out the baby's brains. afterwards, they crush the brain.

if this is not wrong and twisted, i dont know what is. sad thing, ppl don't give a damn what happens to anybody else as long as their life isn't affected...

So you're giving a fetus rights simply because it belongs to the group of mammals we call "human beings"? Don't be ridiculous - A fetus isn't conscious, it has no thoughts nor the ability to feel any pain until a long way in to pregnency.

Furthermore, a fetus IS a parasite.

It's not 'right' but it's not 'wrong.'

    Your poll is poorly worded.

You can't say that something like that is right. It is taking something that could be a wonderful life, and ending it. Yes, it is part of the woman, and yes, she does have the right to do with it what she pleases. It is far from 'right,' however.

Well the reason, I'm assuming, that most women have an abortion is because they don't want to carry a baby around for nine months.

    Well thanks!

It's not a separate baby at the time that most abortions are performed. It can't be given away for some time.

Then you're attributing rights to organisms simply because they have membership in a particular species?

Is your adverse reaction to partial-birth abortion because the baby looks so human, or is it based upon the pain it feels?

    Why is it unfair?

Beats outlawing abortion causing women to perform them themselves by 'accidentally falling' down stairs or drinking bleach, amirite?

Well, neither. Besides the pain, the baby doesn't just look human, but it IS human...and isn't it wrong to commit murder? What is murder? The killing of a human being. What is abortion or partial-birth abortion? The killing of a human being. Thus, abortion=murder.

Biologically, a fetus is a member of homo sapiens, but that is not a morally relevant characteristic. Does it possess any of the characteristics that we would attribute to beings worthy of moral consideration?

chickens are slaughtered, in the millions daily. there not fetuses and they live harsh living conditions, etc.

if you want to destroy your fetus/baby while it's un-developed then it should be your choice, as there are moral arguments to both sides.

No, almost never: I've noticed that everybody that is for abortion has already been born. You can't tell me its not a human baby being killed in abortion; It sure isn't a puppy.

It's not a human baby being killed in an abortion.

The fetus has no knowledge of its existence and cannot feel pain. *Steals this sentence from Darren* It doesn't possess any of the characteristics that we deem necessary for moral consideration.*Ends* The fetus is only a leech on the women, and we have no right to force her to carry it for nine months.

Although I would support increased spending to assist certain newborn babies, we should never ban abortions.

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer to an abortion... In one case it may seem like the right thing to do especially if someone is raped. But it also could be wrong in others eyes. I would probably say that I think it is OKAY on most conditions.

    Abortion

The question cant be answered with a yes or no
There is NO SUCH thing as a Pro-abotionist, no1 just has abortions for fun. There are Pro-choice abortionist who believe that a woman has a right to decide if she should terminate a pregnancy or not. There are certain situations that I would disagree on abortion and that is when the child develops a brain, then it should be given birth and put up for adoption if the parent(s) dont want a child. But for the most part people are humane enough to kill it before it develops any way to experience pain until it develops a brain it's nothing more than a mass of tissue. A woman should have a right over her body and you cant force someone to do something they dont want to.

There is no "right" or "wrong" when it comes to abortion.. This is just an ignorant poll. I believe women everywhere should have the right to choose whether they want to have an abortion or not. I do not believe it is wrong in any way, or "right".
