Brix's Guide on How to get your discs to work if scratched!

Hey its Brix here again bringing you another guide that you would use. I thought about home many times i used to chuck in a game in the ps2 and it didnt work becasue youo little brother scrathed it! Here is a simple guide you can do at home to get your discs back on track again :)

    Handy bit of Infomation:
The infomation is stored on the top of the disc, the plastic is a protective layer and the scratches simply mean the laser rebounds off the scrach and the data can not be read.

    You will need these items:
    - A Scratched Disc
    - Clear Wax (G-Wax works best, if you cant find it just use a CLEAR wax)
    - Soft Cloth

How to fill in your scratches with wax:
    1. Clean the disc well make sure there is no dirt on the disc because it could cause damage when rubbing in the wax later on.

    2. Take the cloth and rub some wax onto it, you dont need to use alot. Remember, you are filling in scratches with it, you only need as much as will fill in the gaps.

    3. Put the wax on the disc all over, focusing on where you have scratches. Rub in with some force (Make sure you dont rub to hard to disc could snap)

    4. Keep rubbing untill the wax is all gone.

Now try the disc, it should work now
(If it doesn't, you can apply more wax, and it should work after that).

NOTE: This could stop working from up to 3 days to a week, if it dose just use the same procedures as shown above.

I think your local stores should sell it, if not use a wax that is CLEAR.

A basic guide, but it is effective none the less. This could be easily found elsewhere on the internet, so I don't know what you can do to expand on this topic. It does its purpose and is good in that aspect, it's just really basic. Maybe include other things related to cd's, such as how to take care of them (CD holders), which kinds are better quality (which I personally don't know much about), etc. If you add those, it might make the guide a bit more interesting.
