    The "report a scammer" section

I've noticed that there are many reports but virtually everyone of them has had no response. I myself posted a report about three days ago and no one has replied. Anyways its just a suggestion considering that it would help prevent more scams and eventually less people coming here because of rumors, but it's your site and you can do anything you want with it.

But, like i said its just a suggestion.

Whats your suggestion??? And the mods work hard on that section... too many people get scammed.... the section gets many new reports a day, so its hard to do them all..

My suggestion is that the section would move a little faster, There is about 3 or more global mods or higher ranks on sythe almost at all times, and if you look into the section there is about 1 thread for the first 5 pages that has a reply.

They work from back to front to be fair... And mods do as much work on them as they can...

I had the same problem, I reported someone 5 days ago who needs to get slapped with TwC, and who knows how many people they have traded with or scammed since then.

Why is it every 2 or 3 days someone just has to make a thread like this? Maybe if people weren't so stupid they wouldn't of had gotten scammed in the first place. Might as well rename this section "The Complain about your scammer report not being done section."

This, also, almost all reports get taken care of eventually (mistakes can be made), there are many mods who take care of the reports, but they can't be doing it 24/7.

Actually the person i reported about a week ago has already been reported over 5 different times and scammed over 5 people after i reported him in the section, this could have been prevented if someone had just looked over my Report.

It also could have been prevented if you had taken the necessary precautions to prevent yourself from being scammed, as could the other 5 users. We work hard in the anti-scam section, and the constant bombardment of threads is not helping us.

I agree that there should new mods appointed specific to the report a scammer section. However, this will probably not happen, and so stop complaining about it. The mods are trying to do the best that they can, and they are doing a dang good job. Specifically:Cfrey, Darkgroove, and Giddy. Thank you.

Exactly. On top of this, there is more to moderate then just the Scammer section, and unless they made a bunch of special mods who only go through that section (where's the fun in that?), there is really nothing that can be done.

    The "report a scammer" section

I find myself in the same bit of trouble sometimes. Scammers, whom I have reported, have gone "unscathed" thru the scammed section. I once gave suffiecient proof, basically saying that the scammer was 100% guilty, and he was not banned. This report went into the archives. Another user also reported the same user for scamming, with proof, but nothing ever came of it. What I suggest is to have a few more mods in that section.
And please dont bs me with how "you should have followed the 5 ways not to get scammed," etc. Sythe mods should investigate scam reports instead of doubting the accusor/blamming the scammed. If suffiecient evidence is supplied, action must be taken against the scammer. Who knows how many more people he will scam before the mods actually get around to banning said scammer.
Overall, I find the scammer/d section highly inefficient and not combative enough, whereas the spammer/d report section is "filled" with trigger happy mods who will issue infractions in the blink of an eye. It seems the scammer|d section is neglected and needs to be maintained more thoroughly.
    Thanks,
    -Mike¥
