What does it mean "You need a members account to play"

I recently recovered my account, "Ben"

apparently, it can play Classic because I get this screen instead of saying "Your account is not able to play."




Does that mean I need a p2p subscription?

You need to be members? Idk, just a wild guess.

 

What it means is that your account has either 1. Never been played on RSC or 2. Hasn't been played on RSC in the last 6 months.

A few months back, they decided to change the way that RSC was ran because so much of the players switched over. JaGeX decided that people did not need to play RSC anymore, but they weren't going to shut it down because of their die-hard players. So they came out with this little solution, which I personally think is stupid. I can still get on RSC using my account, but if I go over the 6 months then they'll deactivate my account on RSC.

Do I need to buy members on it...? on my other accounts, it simply says I'm inelligible to play because of it.

 

You could try but from what this says, I don't think it would work.

 

you need to of been on rsc the previous or past 6 months on like june 2004...
when you get this message it means oyu have no members, does not mean you can play on rsc,

 

If it;'s been too long you wont be able to play with members

 

IM pretty sure you need to be p2p to play classic I cant confirm cause I dont have a RSC account =(

 

I have an rsc account and yes you need membership to play rsc.

 

I had the same message pop up for my old acc, I bought membership and later told me "You cannot play RSC on this acc" So... this could be a trick just so you buy mems >_>

 

The two classic worlds that are left are Members only. Witch you have to have a classic character to begin with. Please read the statement below that was posted by jagex.

have you logged in in 6 months? if you havent then you can never play rsc again lol

 

yes u need a members subscription,
jagex done this so all no members can stop playing rsc
because it was attracting so much attention, they stopped
it to rsc member accounts so that all the other attention would come
back to runescape 2.

when i saw this post i thought id see if i could still log on and i could i remember a few years ago being told if i didnt log on i couldnt play again, lucky i did. nilly 500 days since ive been on:O
