Spamming Infraction

The infracted post is telling anyone who reads it that the poster who replied to me that missed the point. If I had replied saying "You have misunderstood the point I am making", would I still have got the infraction? No. I'm assuming Tgump knows what the picture is expressing.

To add context, I don't believe I've ever been warned for spamming before (which is what the rules say I should expect to get first time round) and I'd made three other posts in the same debate, one of which I've actually been thanked for:

You posted a facepalm image macro. At the very least that may have slid in the General Discussion forum but SFA is not the place for image macros. If your reply is to just say that he misunderstood your point, you could have PMed him or waited until you have further to contribute to the thread before adding it into said contributing post.

I didn't post an image macro, macros have superimposed text on them. There's no minimum post length and it wasn't irrelevant.

Whatever, I'm not going to argue further over this petty moderation. It's dangerous territory

EDIT: Why do you get to dole out the infraction and deny the dispute, Tgump? Doesn't make sense to me.

 

Well, other moderators are free to post but I doubt they'd disagree. Your post contained only one facepalm image, which contributed nothing to the thread. It was, indeed, irrelevant.
