They are giving people randoms at the arena, either inside the minigames, or when you are outside they force randoms upon you.

I guess rid did succeed in making a bot extremly humanlike. Unfortunitly for jagex, they are unable to distinguish between rid and an actual human, as the fact they are forcing randoms.

I bought it, downoaded it, etc. It loads the screen, but everytime after looking at the spells it logs out. What can I do now? This is feeling like a waste of my hours..

They were always on to us, and if there are randoms, I guess RID will just have to do something about them.

RuneScape updated random events on 25th Feb, we've been watching to see if anything has changed in the MTA and can confirm, it's now much more likely to get a random when leaving a minigame. Don't worry you haven't been given a random by a J-mod, and there's no evidence yet of randoms triggering inside the minigames.

Some people have managed 12-20 hours a day since the random update without getting a random, and encountering randoms outside of the minigames isn't new, but it is much more frequent now. I will be looking for either a quick-fix, if possible, or we will introduce random solving to the bot.

The current bot's random handling deals with aggressive randoms, and is aware when it's teleported to a random, so rather than fail, it will log out for you to solve and claim the reward later. It's unlikley logging out of a random event will be used in the detection process - but it's not ideal, it seems to scare people a bit logging in to find yourself in a random event, and it makes long sessions harder so I'll be addressing this issue.

In the next bot update there will be an option (not compulsary) to have the bot alert you (by making a sound) if/when it gets a random event it can't solve, so you then take over briefly, instead of the bot logging out for you to solve it later. There will also be an option for the bot to take screenshots while you solve the event, which you can compress and send to us in return for free hours, for each event captured. Note, your own screenshots of randoms won't help, this offer will apply only to screenshots taken by the bot, you would be given 4 hours free training per event captured.

This will help us code randoms fast and effectively, however a quick fix may still be possible so I will look into what's triggering events and tell you more as and when I find out.

    thanks for the confirmation

personally i believe you should be make the bot to be able to solve randoms, whatever ones you can make it solve. but i probably wouldn't list what randoms it can/cant solve as it may help jagex with the detection process.

the alert thing would be a great feature too for randoms if we're around to hear it and solve it

unsolved randoms will as far as i believe lead to 10 day bans and 0.5 BMs for afk training. this is ofcourse the case with rsbot etc.

with RID it will most likely flag every user for suspicious activity, since it is be pretty much their only evidence of botting inside MTA.

Well.. for rsbot if you get a random and log out i think you get more unsolvable randoms for rsbot. if you complete it, you dont get any. but this isnt proven or anything.

Robotzindisguise, I would like to inform you that the 4.07 version i downloaded from the website doesn't work. When i press start my mouse doesn't move or do anything if you could take a quick look at it it would be great. Thanks for the help.

Been trying to get a random all day, but they never come along when you actually want one. I can confirm there aren't randoms inside the minigames, it is in-between that events are triggered.

I've tweaked the bot to cater for these changes, you can now download version 4.07 from the website. There is now an optional Random Event Alarm system, which will sound an alarm if you get a random the bot can't solve, so you can take over and solve it, then after the bot will continue it's work. In addition to this there's a record option, if selected the bot will record what you are doing while you solve the random. You can send these screenshots to us in return for free hours, see the README.txt (included in the bot download) for details.

I am hoping by tomorrow the bot will have it's first random event solution, most events are pretty simple, and would only be about 1 days work, it's getting the screenshots that's the challenge. Between the random-recorder and events happening more in the MTA, that should be all I need to tackle them, and it would pave the way for plenty of other programs too so I'll be working on this the next few weeks.

If you don't have the alarm enabled, or you don't hear the alarm the bot will just log out. Nobody who's bot logged out of a random the past few days has received black marks (yet at least), and I doubt that alone would be strong enough evidence of an offense, but if you want peace of mind, untill all the events are coded only run the bot when you are close enough to hear the alarm. Thanks in advance for your help getting the screenshots.

skillza - send a screenshot to customer support, it could be something to do with your display. Is anyone else having a problem with 4.07?
