Go Google, Google are the most used website on the Internet, of course they were going to get a new security system etc.

 

Pretty cool, I've heard of companies in the past getting hackers to attempt to hack them to make a more secure system.

 

This is a good idea, but the real hackers who find anything worthwhile won't actually report it to Google, they'll just hold on to it and use it for bigger personal gain later on.

 

True that, but Google can check what sort of activity might have been going on, that hasn't been reported.

 

i heard in universities they teach legal hacking.. my teacher told me .. so not sure about the information.. he told me also they work in big companies and banks.. to find tweaks or bugs

 

Also known as a white hat hacker.

 

I'd laugh if someone hacked it and completely fucked it up and got in no trouble for it since google challenged them to hack it hahah.

 

Some people will probably get threw it, their usually is always a way around it...

I have heard of mcaffee or something like that doing this before as well, so we will see who gets threw

 

Legal hacking is called Ethical Hacking, A course you take
in college.

I'm going to sign up and see what I can do.
I hear this alot, and everyone who thinks they can
hack, pass these basic hacking tests then give it a shot.

Well there are probably rules about that.

 

They get like 1300 job applications each day, so instead of reading all of them, the just do these contest.

 

The money involved in this contest is only pennies for Google. Hiring a full-time employee with benefits is different.

 

It's called ethical security penetration testing and yes they do teach you this. The best way to learn how to prevent something is to actually do it yourself in a controlled environment.

 

I don't think google was ever hacked, but i remember when Mcdonald was hacked it was pretty funny
