    Alex's Guide to Constructive Criticism

Isn't it annoying when you spend over an hour making a guide trying to help people do something but when you ask them to comment on it then all you recieve is someones lazy attempt to raise their post count by saying something such as:
In this guide I aim to try and challenge you to look at other guides and think how they could be improved.

Step 1: easiness to read, is there any language you don't understand? Are there any points where you think the guide is weak? If you were going to follow the guide to the end, for example, if this was a recipe [which i know are not allowed, but using as example], so if you were going to cook it yourself were there any problems you would encounter? For example, are there any ingredients that you do not have so maybe ask if they could be swapped out for different ones. Are measurements or commands hard to understand? If so then post about it, don't just rate the guide lower, tell them about it! Point it out!

step 2: Presentation, are there any spelling/grammar/accidental mistakes? Could the guide look better? Perhaps suggest where perhaps pictures/visual aids could be added in to complement what the writer is pointing out. Don't just say that they should add pictures. Say where and why. For example,

Also should certain key parts be emboldened or emphasised? Do you think the main heading is far too small? Tell the author what you think.

This concludes my guide on how to constructively criticise. I hope this will help you in commenting on other people's guides in the future. Please tell me what you think below.
