Songs With Awesome Breakdowns!

Hey guys, i'm thinking of making youtube vids of random HXC dancing like other people have done. I have about 10 songs i've got in mind with some cool breakdowns but i want some extreme breakdowns.

So if you can post a song and at what time theres a good breakdown, then that'd be great!

 

Well, the most brutal bands I have on my computer are As Blood Runs Black, The Black Dahlia Murder and Heaven Shall Burn. I will check out some songs for cool breakdowns. But they are deathcore, not hardcore.

 

Back Burner by August Burns Red. The Breakdown starts at 16 seconds.
August Burns Red is probably the best band to find good breakdowns. I recently got into them so I don't know many songs and breakdowns.

Brutal ass song is Heart of Stone by Underoath, I know there is a breakdown in there but the whole song is heavy as hell.

I'll edit this post when I can think of some more. And is this video about drive by hardcore dancing, if it is tell me when you make it, I want to see lol.

 

That's fucking lame, breakdowns suck and the whole hardcore dancing with a moves list is disgusting.

Thanks, i'll check out the songs you mentioned. I have all underoath songs so i'll listen to Heart of Stone. Also it is going to be drive by hardcore dancing, i need to find someone who can record it and at least 1 more friend to do it with me lol. Our vid will be like complete 100% random, not like some of those youtube ones how clearly the dudes are friends with the other "random" people. So it should be pretty funny.

Breakdowns are the best part of a song, what the fuck do you listen to? Hilary Duff? Britney Spears?

Hardcore dancing is awesome, if you've ever actually done it then you'd understand. I thought it was rather stupid when i first ever saw it, but realised how fun it was when i actually tried it. Or are you one of those guys that stand at the very back of the mosh pit because your too scared to get hurt?

Yeah i've got a couple Silverstein songs on the list, their breakdowns aren't that brutal but they are one of my favourite bands so i'd get into them more than other songs.

A Day To Remember should have some good breakdowns in their songs but i haven't listened to any of their songs in the last 6 months so i don't know which have the best breakdowns.

 

I'm pretty sure he listens to metal. Breakdowns are absolutely horrid in metalcore. They become so redundant and unimaginative to the point of being utterly ANNOYING AS FUCK.

Also, hardcore dancing is incredibly stupid. I don't see whats so fun about wailing your arms and legs around in the air in hopes of colliding with someone who is doing the same.

There's a DIFFERENCE between moshing and being hardcore dancing. The fuck is the point of moshing with some loser hardcore kids that do anything more than fling their scrawny arms all around?

 

Well, if you hate hardcore dancers, when the circle is formed, you get the fuck out the way. If you aren't in the circle, they don't bother you. Or are you one of those people that are on the edge of the circle and are shitting yourself the whole time because you think you might get hit? If your some big tough guy, then go in there and show them up.

You're probably jealous because your too scared to participate yourself. Or you were one of those guys that walk in there thinking "i'm tough" and then leave 30 seconds later crying your eyes out.

Oh and i know theres a difference between moshing and hardcore dancing, its pretty fucking obvious. Maybe us hardcore dancers don't see what you find fun about jumping up and down, waving your arms in the air like girls in the mosh pit.

Clearly you don't like metalcore, so don't go to a metalcore concert. That way you won't see any hardcore dancers, its that simple!

That's the whole point, you make yourself look stupid in a random crowd, making the video funny because there's a bunch of people staring at you. And it's not called Hardcore dancing because it's a bunch of emos who think they're hardcore, it's called it because it's the type of dance that you do when listening to the genre of music that involves Hardcore like: Deathcore, Metalcore, Hardcore, etc.

 

What you call hardcore dancing started off being called slam dancing and started at hardcore punk shows and it never looked fucking rediculous like this choreographed fight move shit, it was just part of the agression in hardcore. I dance at shows all the time, I don't dance doing lame windmill shit... I do whatever I fucking feel. Scared of getting hurt, what the fuck is scary about kids flailing around to shit metalcore that I would never listen to.

August Burns Red, hands down. there's really no discussion about this, they put underoath to shame and make as blood runs black sound like children of bodom. best songs for breakdowns are backburner and composure, but in general, every song off the messengers album, and Barbarian off the old album is truly a journey into amazing music.

(Heaven Shall Burn is more of a melodeathcore band, you don't listen to that for the breakdowns.)

The Devil Wears Prada, and Winds of Plague, they are both more about the melodic symphonies, but TDWP in particular has been known to be brutal.

Also to answer xx mdv xx, it is going to be a drive-by hardcore dancing video but so far we haven't had much luck. Like we almost got bashed by 20 black guys so that kind've lowered our morale lol.

At the moment i'm the only one who's not too scared to just randomly hardcore dance in front of anyone. And we need more than just me hardcore dancing.

If you think Bring Me The Horizon owns all bands, then check out Parkway Drive. Parkway Drive sends BMTH running back to their mothers. I'm seeing BMTH in 2 months as well so i'm not being biased. I like BMTH but i don't think they are good compared to other bands out there.

I love Parkway Drive too, just BMTH a little more. BMTH breakdowns aren't that great though, but good guitar solos. Yeah, and I noticed in most drive by hardcore dancing videos since their cameras aren't good quality, they pot the song over the sound of the video so the song has good quality so that's something you should probably do. lol and I saw a hardcore dancing video where the guy forgot to put his car in park and hit another car so make sure you don't do that.
