There is a ton of empty space on this work, and you're still working with one colour, essentially.

    Think about complementary colours.
Think about the rule of thirds.
Consider layer masks while changing layer properties.

I don't think I like the text too much, or the yellow bordering outside of Rhianna.

Other than that, it's quite good.

thankyou everyone, any ideas on how to incorporate a complimentary colour without contrasting it too much, and making it subtle?

Here's a simple fix, with basically an invert of the original work, and some layer masking. I've uploaded a PSD to learn from.

I'm not saying it's perfect by any means, but it gets you in the idea of color-coordination. A 3 minute work for me.

Here's my work after another 5 minutes. An Auto-toned version of what I posted above, and a brighter version of that, after adding another one of the 'hue' layers in as 'color,' in the layers menu.

    Here's how things changed:

    You are amazing.

TR1BAL: I suggest you take some of that .PSD and try to incorporate it into your future works. Vision Ex knows what he's talking about here, and hopefully you will learn some sweet new shit from him. :D

Thankyou again Vision Ex, though how can I find out which main colours are used/where the focal point is?

The main colours you use are based on your own decision. Learn the colour theory to understand use of it in a work of art.

The focal point of a design is the first place one's eye is drawn to in your finished product. If you have a render, you will usually want that render's flow directed at the focal point. Otherwise, you should be looking at making the flow of the design to sync well with the render, assuming it is looking upward, straight forward, or down.

Renders which do not have emotions, but rather cause emotion, should be interpreted to give you a sense of how to work with them. Try to keep the flow of the render consistent, and emotion simple, to portray your ideas solidly in your work.

it's okay.. The text could be improved and there is a lot of negative space. ALSO you might want to spell Rihanna right. :).

If you had spelled 'Rihanna' right, I'm sure this piece would have ended up being a lot better. :)

I think you have a lot of empty space that could have been filled but other than that, I enjoy your choice of colors as they seem to blend in rather nicely. I suggest you remove the outline of Rihanna as well as it seems to ruin the signature altogether.
