    Does anyone here use eBay?
    I have a question for someone familiar with selling on eBay and fees. So I started last month and made about $1800 so far and when I look on my PayPal, every transaction has a "tax collected by eBay"

    But then I have these fees? Are these already paid? or do I owe them $169?

    paypal and ebay are different entities. they each have their own fee's. the first picture looks like a paypal transaction. your seeing -.51 for paypal fees, and -.41 tax for selling on ebay. the second picture being ebay is their separate fee's for selling on ebay.
    At the end of the day if your going to be an average seller using the basic eBay plans your going to be losing roughly 10% of each sale to fees. Not to mention at the end of the year you'll get tax forms so expect to lose more when you file taxes. If your buying/reselling youll need to make roughly 25% in profit of the value of the item to come out on top because of taxes, taxes again + fees and more fees

    Thank you! - but my core question is do I owe that $169 or was all of that already deducted through the selling process?

    You still owe it, the first screenshot is paypal fee's. Your second one is eBay.
