did the mayans ever say the world was going to end then or did they just end the calendar there which people now interpret as a prediction of the end of the world? and if they actually did predict the world would end in 2012 it just shows how stupid they must have been.

for the disease theory, even with a highly contagious disease, some people are bound to live and reproduce again.

for the nuke theory, seeing as it would probably have something to do with iran or north korea, im pretty sure those countries would be destroyed before the rest of civilization was killed.

i don't like when hippies talk about global warming all the time but i would have to say it is more likely to end civilization than nukes or disease in my opinion. however, seeing as i doubt the world will end in any of our lifetimes, there are probably many other problems that will arise in the future that none of us could predict so i doubt anyone of us is going to have the right answer.

 

The Mayan calender just stops at 2012. It doesn't have a little note on it that says apocalypse
