Starting to make an acoustic song

Im a singer/screamer in a hardcore band
i wanna take it slow
started making something up
have been playing since christmas

seems as if everytime i recorded i messed up and when i wasnt i did very good.

Some CC...I'd say the concept is really good, I especially like the second part, the faster part after the slower part. If you slowed it down in the beginning, like using chord shapes and picking through them instead of strumming through them, it'd sound even killer.

About the strumming, I like the up down up down motion for the second part, but try and experiment with a few other ones. Google or youtube some other strumming patterns, and see what you can come up with. Something like down, down up, up down up down, down up, up down up down, down up, etc.

One more thing, would be the consistency. During the fast motion, you miss a few of the strums. Since you've only been playing a few months, you're doing really well. So keep it up. Just keep practicing.

 

The recording isn't bad. You REALLY NEED TO TUNE YOUR GUITAR. You can easily google "guitar tuner" or "chromatic tuner" and fine something to use.

This seriously sounds like you just picked up a guitar, started strumming on it, and are trying to troll. I can't even tell

the guitar is way out of tune... you need to mix up your strumming...

 

i'm going to go ahead and repeat what everyone said, tune your guitar and mix up your strumming, both of those things will make all the difference, you've got potential man

I was playing 38 years old by tragically hip and he uses different strumming like the up down thing and i noticed how things sound better
