My VERY first attempt at ANYTHING... EVER!!!

Well recently I started Art Design at school as a subject, and it involves using Photoshop which I have NEVER used before in my life. I have none of the fancy brushes or all those little add-ons for PS (although I would sure like to have them.... let me know if you know where I can get some good ones :) ) so here is my first attempt at making a signature, please be aware I have only been using Photoshop for less than 1 week...

Any constructive criticism or advice is appreciated :D

You need to make the Render stand out more, and graphic artist rarely use 2 renders in one signature. 5/10

Thanks for the opinion ^_^ I'm hoping that eventually my skills will get better and I can design signatures with ease.

Yea, when I was making it I thought to myself the empty spaces may have been too large and the sig could have possibly been better if I reduced the length of the image.... but I guess I can learn from that :D

Thanks for the constructive feedback.... next time should I possibly lighten the render, because I did go around its edges and gave it a LOT of opacity so it merged into the background... but I agree, it doesnt stand out enough, also maybe I should look at making it sharper with more detail. And thanks for the tip on the usage of multiple renders, I'll take that to heart :)

    Thanks man, I'm slowly learning.

Thanks for the awsome rating  thanks for the extremely pleasing comment about my first sig aswell :p

Cheers :) Thanks for the tips about deviantart.com, I'll be sure to scope that out very soon!

Thanks mate, I hope that once I'm a bit more competent on Photoshop I can hone my skills to as close as perfection as possible ^_^

Thanks to EVERYONE for the feedback and tips. I will be sure to hopefully post some more as my skills advance!

Not a bad sig, I definitely think it should be split into 2 sigs though, it does look a bit strange, even if the renders are awesome. Nonetheless this is a really great job, especially for your first time.

    First timers score: 9/10
    General Score: 7.5/10

Yeah np man. Try making the swirly C4D in the far left be the main source of light for him standing there. Move it over and dry to make a blur version of himself standing behind him. (If that made any sence lol)
