    If a member is hacked...

Sorry if this isn't the right section, wasn't really sure where to ask this.

If a trusted member is hacked, and he says to talk with his different msn, other than the one he has in his sig (which doesn't say anything like 'My ONLY Msn: xxx', it just says 'Email: xxx') and then proceeds to scam the buyer/seller, is that the owner of the Sythe account's fault that he didn't secure his account well enough? And would he have to pay the victim back? I'm asking because imaskiller9999 (who has a TON of vouches, seem legit too), or the person who hacked him, did that. I didn't report yet on the off chance that when he said 'I'll go buy some valid pins, brb' and hasn't come back in hours that he really went to get some pins. But, theoretically, would the actual owner have to repay the victim or if he doesn't, receive the punishment as if he was the scammer?

With legitamate evidence than you didn't know he was hacked and that you were scammed, yes. The original owner would be responsible to pay back the lost goods.

You should ONLY use the email they provide on Sythe.org

If unsure ask that member to PM you on Sythe with the MSN/Email they are using.

If you did not do this then I would say it's your own fault/the scammer's.

If one has proof that they were scammed by whoever was on the persons account they will be asked to pay it back, an example would be Megamatt.

    OK, thanks guys.

He provided 2 on Sythe. On his thread, it gave a @live.com, in his sig, he gave a @yahoo.com. I contacted the @live.com. I didn't ask for a PM - what's the point? He JUST posted the thread containing his MSN.

That's what his vouches and everything made me think. But yeah, I really doubt he himself scammed me for 4m. I'm almost positive I got scammed now though, I didn't get a PM back that night like imaskiller/the hacker told me he would when he got valid pins. Going to report when I get back from school.
