I was thinking after dumping your items and making a good profit, it would be nice to show how much you have really made. Of course this is GT's thread so.. take in consideration maybe?

 

Yeah that would be pretty sweet just to keep a tab of the total profits. Keep buying we can push it up a bit more.

I just took a look at the bananas and it seems like someone dumped early. I just hope it won't drop enough for us to have a loss

 

First of all, if you are going to dump early...dont. Second of all, if you are going to dump early, sell at max. Third of all, if you realize someone dumped early and then you try to sell yours right after, you cause a chain which causes the price to drop because everyone is trying to unload as fast as possible. Dont merch if you are noob.

Since this happened, Id recommend selling your bananas at a profitable margin, like max, if you're one who wishes to get rid of them. Ill be holding mine for another day.

I apologize to those who bought a large quantity earlier, I hope you didnt lose much.

Ill be making changes to this thread/clan to improve the success rate. For now I wont decide any items, but you may post suggestions. If so Ill tally up points for items and simply post in first post to help everyone out a bit.

Starting the next item we, both sythe and clan members will decide on Dumping dates.




We still need quite a few people/gp to make our profit higher, so tell your friends. This will be an open clan for a few weeks to recruit more members.

I lost little money (7M if I won't be able to sell bananas, 1M if I'll be able to sell bananas), but I'll get it back by macroing :]
Merchanting and Manipulating can make really great profit, but they can even make looses...

 

Yeah, I'm going to lose a lot of money too I think the clan would do better be all-open or all closed, personally.

 

So far I'm not impressed with this tactic of making money. Both times I've lost some (like 2M) because they just don't sell. I try to sell at max for 2 days, and I get nothing. I move down to like 3 under max, still nothing. Then I'm forced to sell at the mid price, or even lower until they finally sell, leaving me with less than I paid for.

Maybe I'm just impatient or something, but I don't like having 70k bananas and not being able to do anything with them.

I have been doing this 'Banana' thing really long time. I sold mines when they were 75+gp like 2-3 weeks ago or so (I don't remember correctly). Bananas WILL go up to ~70 gp in next week or so. ^_^

 

This worked really well until someone posted that people were dumping early. People started to freak out and unload as quick as possible which caused banas to rapidly drop in price. If everyone buys at max and then waits until the dump date to sell at max, then 90% of the people will make a profit.

 

I've been trying to sell them for like 3-4 days now, but only because I got a PM from GT telling me to sell.

So far, I haven't been able to sell a single banana. What the hell? I guess I can take my offer down until we've decided on a date.

GT, don't worry about giving the "clan" an extra day to sell. Just post it here and it all will just be easier. I'm taking down my offer now because I guess we aren't really selling, even though GT told me to...

 

see thats the problem with merch clans people don't know how to wait, sure we can all agree on a dump price but almost 99% of the time the clan never makes it because of the impatient people who want money as fast as possible

If you dont trust the item chosen then dont try it?
