Try to make the innards of the body, not the outer skin (muscle and other flesh). You will probably get a better result. Remember to make a good transition to show that there is no heart by placing ribs above and below where the heart goes.

 

Very nice idea, looks great. Make the whole T-Shirt the colour of the skin.
