Rank Requirement for MM

I'm sick of non-trusted members with 31 and 71 posts posting MM applications and adding me on msn asking if I need a MM. They aren't trusted and are looking to MM big trades. I think there should be a rank requirement for someone to have a MM thread (either Guru/Forum Addict). I don't want anyone getting scammed by a 31 post "middle man memer".

I wouldn't say using post counts, can help limiting bad MMs, i would suggest posting a guide on how to avoid "bad" MMs in the Middleman Forum and it'll be more helpful.

 

Post count means nothing... Just be smart and find a good MM that you trust... :/

If you dont completely trust the person thats MM'ing, then dont use him. It isnt rocket science to be honest.

 

If infact you went by post count to get a MM rank, than that would cause alot of more spam than ever so i disagree.

Still, everyone complains about being scammed. Ranks would be nice but making a Trial MM Application wouldn't be better. Sorry Rs Emperor but I'm going to add on to your thread. He;s absolutely right, there are wayy too many people advertising their MM'ing services on Sythe. Almost every time that they do, it's for a big trade. Again, it would be a great idea to make a Trial MM form, where all you do is fill out a questionnaire and reply it on the thread. Anyone who has vouches already can use them but from this point on. We should make everyone take out "Free MM'ing" from their sigs and whatever and apply to be MM's. It would be a lot of work but that would cut down the rate of scamming drastically. As for Official MM's, they'd stay the same, picked by the Admins/Mods.

They're a new forum though so it's much, much easier to start this process but Sythe would have such a better reputation of anti-scams if they followed this. Sorry if it's been suggested before guys, but it certainly fits this thread and it certainly should be taken into check by an Admin and/or Mod.

Seriously, number of posts is not the amount of trust. Merchant of Crystal Tears got 3,000 posts in 3 weeks and is now banned.

 

If you're stupid enough to trust them with your shit, you deserve to be scammed. Common sense is all that's needed, and it the site shouldn't have to make this place child-proof. If worse comes to worse, you fuck up and get scammed. You'll probably learn a important life lesson.

Agreed. I've almost been here for 1 year now & there are some users that joined last month, and have a higher port count then me. I'm very active here at sythe, I just don't go spam crazy. :noworry:
