Are we allowed to think about whatever we want?

I've had this question running around in my head for several weeks and I'd thought I'd share it with you guys and see your opinion about it. This whole thing started when I was at work and there was this new guy there and I hated him, therefore I thought: "Fuck him! I'm much better than him at this!" (maybe some even more cruel stuff too) And then suddenly I got angry at myself for thinking such things. But if thinkings along these roads makes your confidence better shouldn't it be ok? Hence, it's allowed to think about whatever you want without "God" being angry at you?

I'm not a very religious guy, but I believe anyone with a bit of religiosity in themselves are also very facinated by this question. Foreinstance, is it allowed to THINK about raping a woman without "God"/Allah - or whomever you believe in - being angry at you? I try to listen to my thoughts, and I say alot of interesting things to myself and you should try that too, try listening to your own thoughts and you'll be facinated by all the things you say to yourself.

I'd never want to do such a thing to a woman, and to be totally honest I couldn't picture myself doing it either, but is it wrong to think such thoughts? Is it allowed to think about how you're going to murder a person without actually doing it? And by writing this, it's been impossible for my brain not to think about all the examples, and it'll also be impossible for you not to put yourself into the situation too, don't you think that's quite facinating?

Alot of questionmarks in this one, I just really want your opinions about this. :)

Matthew, 5:28: "But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."

    Not according to Jesus.

Of course, this presumes that a God that cares about our tiny section of the universe actually exists.
