Dbuffed commented back on this post to confirm that's me on facebook although he doesn't own the facebook group or anything and is just a member there. I ignored him and blocked because I find him a weirdo. He then proceeded to sythe discord server talking shit about me that I am a scammer which I don't care about whatever he wanted to say there.

Here's where it went wrong when he posted a picture with my facebook name included in sythe discord.

Here my facebook name was leaked hence why he deserves to get banned.

Here is another screenie telling people I am a scammer just because I blocked him on fb/discord.


This deserves a temporary ban at the very least.

 

Not quite doxing, and has been mentioned to @video and handled via him + given full proof also - Thanks for reporting though.

I asked user for a PM, he instead blocked me and I mocked it in the sythe chat which is clearly a "troll"

Nothing actually linked to him, my gyazo which contained MY OWN profile may I add, was also removed within a split second - @Cherub was talking to me at the time and repeated his name but I got him to remove instantly.

 

You removed the gyazo after I commented in the sythe server. You played youself friend

Doesn't matter whether it got posted for a second or few minutes the fact is you leaked the name = doxing = ban

Actually no, I deleted the crop within a split second, BEFORE you even replied.

 

People read the name already before you even deleted. So indeed its a dox. Either ways mods will handle it further and can make the decision

 

There was a literal 2 second post up, not even containing "full" information, just a tag by accident, which I removed within those two seconds, just updated the post as well containing full proof including you stating you would "confirm pm" to people.

Sorry, but I moderate facebook pages and prefer to avoid people being scammed, you told people you would confirm your Sythe stuff, and instead turned round and blocked someone (me in this case, not sure if others also) because you was asked which is sketchy.

I apologise if you feel that I have disrupted you by any meaning, but you can clearly tell this was an honest mistake as there wasn't a specific reveal of you per say - More or less of my own profile,

So in reality, you did this because I asked you to confirm things for peoples safety.

 

Thank you for confirming - I have also sent you a pic showing that the group is very much open (meaning anyone can view it with or without being in group) and have prompt @Luck to edit/remove.

He has obviously told people he will pm/confirm pms, but that's beside the point, if he feels it's doxing by him posting it up with confirming of his Sythe profile - He needs to remove it.

 

I will edit the picture I sent Black on discord so staff can view it, but as you can see anyone can join and even go down stuff in general again have pmed Luck about this, and prompt to change so he can stay safe himself.

long story short - He posts about wanting to buy 2B ($1k or so) and claims will verify himself on pm etc, so I pm and ask him about it and he blocks me - After this I make a joke about it showing a comment I made about the situation and had had his name unintentionally (as it actually leaked me and my security)

Me and several others help keep the community on that side safe, to make sure people are not scamming/imposing and such, and we have had many many of them.

I have prompt him to remove his original post which includes him saying about his Sythe and such.

 

I don't want to edit the post above so sorry for spamming in advance -

I just find this situation a bit weird, as mentioned he was trying to buy assets of which the guy who is selling could have been scammed under the impression of the person (luck in this case) being a trusted source.

Being that I have done trades in the past with Luck and spoke about trades etc with him on Discord several times you would think he would understand the importance of a pm confirming that it is the correct person he is acting to be.

The part I cant get my head past - He posted stating his Sythe name, so forth which in turn people would have to contact him to confirm either way, if it wasn't me it would have been someone else who contacted him regarding the same thing asking the same information - This is not what you call a dox, this is people simply playing it safe in order to make sure that they are not scammed if they decide to go ahead in a trade being that the user has requested to be PM'ed for identity check.

None the less - Luck if you do read this, please read my pm as it shows you stuff to avoid breaching your personal information of such, again i'm sorry if you feel I have gone too far by questioning if it's you that we are dealing with like anyone else would in the matter of trade terms.

Edit - I think it also goes without saying there are MANY MANY traders that also use Sythe and it has never been an issue when we all verify ourselves, myself included in that.

People like - Oshy, Otter, Seeking GP and many others all small medium and big names who use these as part to expand, and the amount of times I have myself had to verify to people (can ask @Sjors if you like, as only two days ago I verified myself like we should be encouraging others to in order to trade safe) - So all in all, surprising that he got annoyed I asked for a verification PM, as someone who has traded him and also picked gold up from him via a third party that left me in a really sketchy feeling of the moment, I have never refused a pm and maybe 50-60 other users who use these groups to trade have also never refused, I understand and again apologise if he feels offended that someone would ask for a pm confirmation - But it is normal in the trading community.

 

Deleting someone's personal information after posting it doesn't lessen the act, nor the excuse that the information is easily accessible. You were banned for 6 months (reduced to 3) for a similar offence: https://www.sythe.org/posts/39883952/, that should have been enough of a deterrent.

This was a collective decision from the staff team, unanimous between admins and it was not made lightly. @Dbuffed has been permanently banned for sharing personal information.
