Is it hard to get into the music industry?

Well, let me start off by saying, that i plan not on exactly rapping, but rhyming and having a nice beat. I would like to do it about real things that have happened in my life, that i feel the lines i have written down so far are truly amazing, i live in NY, so would you think that would give me a tiny advantage to maybe getting a record deal ?

I don't plan on saying any lies, i kinda wanna do the Emin3m style, but in my own way and my songs are 100 % true.

But there is one small tiny problem. I have an accent, i am scared that it might ruin me and it will take a long time to pronounce every word 100 % correctly.

What are your thoughts, you are free to tell me that i will never make it, i am open minded lol.

Ya lol you're right, but i don't want that 50 cent wive lol, i don't want to be calling girls " Shwaty's " rofl. I wanna be me, and actually have everyone understand me lol and not call money paper or bread because that's the only thing i can get to rhyme with.

 

Not all singers get a record deal, else everyone would be doing it.

 

Well you sound like every other musician out there at the moment. Yes it will be hard unless there is something extraordinary you have to offer

 

In this world now, its all about who you know, to see how far you get.

 

I doubt it very much, but if your good and willing to be dedicated you may get noticed and may pick up a Recording Deal or something.

 

You need to want to do it,not just do it to be famous. It needs to be your passion. I want to be a rapper aswell.

 

If you work very hard at it, it can work out. You have to actaully know things well and probably more skills then just singing.

 

I'm gonna post a song i wrote later, based on a true story that happened to me. I'm gonna sing ti with a beat and post it.

 

Yes, it's very competitive. You have to be good and get your music known. Your accent will probably more of an advantage.

 

These days, getting into the music industry requires no (musical) talent at all!
You just need the right connections or the right amount of luck.

 

It depends if you're good if you're good you can either be really famous or just be a local fame either way you can live pretty comfortably just make sure other people like your work.

Music is about expressing yourself.

 

Its a tough thing and a lot of managers will tell you not to be yourself. For rap mainly you have to give what the crowd wants. You are you off stage but on stage you have to be a totally different person or you won't sell.

 

You apparently miss understood what I meant, I'm not trying to say be something you're not what I mean if you're planning on doing well in the music industry you better be prepared to spend a lot of time to master whatever you're playing.

 

It's tough enough trying to get a regular job these days. Competition is heavy. If you're not extremely talented or have some type of connections, it's almost impossible to make it. Even if you have those, it wouldn't be easy.
