Proof of your ability to pay (Reduces spam)

I was in the black market recently-Wow, right?- and I saw just TONS of posts saying like "OMG I OFFER 10m!!!"

They really have no intent on buying it, nor do they have the money. I say you must provide proof of your payment before placing a bid. So lets say I'm selling a runescape account, and some kid offers 10m. He would need to provide a picture of that 10 Mill, or like provide a picture of 40$ in paypal. I know this would take alot of extra time, but it would discourage scammers, and it would reduce the amount of spam, which could keep scammers from getting a half-decent post count.

It might be a pain to enforce, but you are absolutely right. There are tons of posts with people saying like "I OFFER TONS OF MONEY ADD ME!" simply to lure you and attempt to scam you.

 

Or a seperate form you have to agree with saying what ever you bid , you have to carry through with the bidding. not just say i offer 10m then ah , i dont want it now more. show ur intrest

 

Or just ask them if they are willing to use a middleman if they say no, then no deal? Simple if you ask me.

No. Artmoney could easily be used to fake it. And requiring mod proof would take forever, which would be the only legit way to prove it.

 

Make them have to "Examine" the coins.

Also, most big trusted people here don't like to show pictures of their PayPal account with $1,000+ in it.

 

If you suspect ArtMoney you could request to meet in game, but for the majority, most people don't even know how to use it. I'd bet that the majority of kids on sythe would think it's a virus before downloading it. The average range of people on here are like 12-13...

 

OR the buyer could ask to prove in game.

 

Screenies of paypal can easly be edited.
Runescape gold can be edited by artmoney.

 

I laughed. You can examine Artmoney coins, and it will be at what you changed it to. If the buyer is insecure, they can verify it ingame.

 

Scammers would be too lazy to edit their pictures to fit their offer, but so would legit traders, so I don't support.

 

Nah. The Moderators wouldn't be able to enforce it, nor would the people actually follow it. The responsibilities when selling an item / account include ensuring the integrity and reliability of the buyer.

 

No, it'll take up too much time.
Also people can just post fake pics.

Fake pics, mods really don't have time to verify every single post made in the black market section.

 

pictures are very useless tho because i could easily edit 50m into 500m and you wouldn't even be able to notice or even change my paypal amount.

 

It's a suggestion. It would prevent spam, in multiple ways, and it could reduce scamming.

Try looking at some positives instead of all negatives.
