My Xbox is broken, and i can't fix it. RED RINGS.

Ok, so i bought my xbox like.. in the summer from some random guy, i don't know his name and shit, so i can't mail it back to Xbox. I've tried to overheat it, it doesn't work 2nd time this has happend to me had a dad's friend who fixed it last time, now the asshole has closed down his shop, so what do i do now.............

You got something us Xbox users call "the rings of death". It's basically when you're Xbox overheats, so you're basically fucked. But, there is good news. You can send your Xbox back to Microsoft and they will send you a new one in 1-2 months.

 

Here is what you do. Call xbox, and say you got the red ring. They will NOT ask you for the name of the owner or any crap like that, they only ask for your serial code on the back of your xbox. Now if the xbox still has a warranty then they should just send you a box to put your xbox in and you should get a new one in 3 - 5 days. If you don thave a warranty they will ask for like 100 dollars but thats worth getting a new xbox for.

 

Send it back to Microsoft and they'll fix it for free. It's their fault it happens, not yours.

Buy a PS3, they don't break.

If you have money to spend, try doing this. It has a chance of working, a chance of not working. Worth a shot if you ask me.

Send it back to microsoft. If it doesn't have a guarantee it will cost you around £60 to get fixed, i had that problem on my xbox but i couldnt be bothered with all the hastle and i just bought a new one...yes, spoilt.

What kind of information are you talking about your an idiot. All you do is call microsoft they'll mail you a box you put your xbox in there mail it back to them they fix it for free they don't ask for anything.

 

no dumbass they have to information about your xbox like your name and stuff so they know if your the real owner who bought it so they can check if your xbox has warranty still they dont just fix it for free if you have no warranty....i got the RROD 2 times so i would know
