    Trade With Caution Dispute

    Name: Ethan M.
    City: Nutley
    State: New Jersey
    Zip Code: 07110

Supposed reasoning for TWC: Sythe Member Looberman claims to have been black mailed by me.

    Proof used against me: http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/8388/picture2lz8.png

Where I like to think I stand on Sythe: Trusted Gp Seller, Musician, and Trusted Middle Man.

I currently owe a few people gp to be transferred mostly if not all tonight that is owed due to recent sickness. They were not left in the cold when I was sick. I notified all of them and said I'd continue transferring as soon as possible

Why I should not have the trade with caution rank: This had been my first and only bit of business with Looberman and he had said :

"You can pay me in any currency you have lieing around"
When asked if there was a time limit he said "No time limit" I then replied "I'll do it as soon as possible"

A few days passed and I transferred a bit. I became "can't get out of bed sick" and when I actually got out of bed, I posted on my thread and notified everyone that I couldn't transfer. I'm currently recovering and again, trying to sort out the rest of the transfers tonight.

When I woke up on the 8th, he messaged me with this:
    http://i40.tinypic.com/5lbgo4.jpg

My reply was what he called black mail. I may not have handeled it the correct way but felt it was sufficient in a business perspective and after seeing R2pleasant prank call scammers. This is most definitely a scammer that pulled out of the middle of our trade. All I "threatened" was that he would get banned for scamming.

Even before he sent me the message on the 8th, I sent him this message http://i42.tinypic.com/2005tmw.jpg so I'm not just leaving him to know what's going on. I told him what was going on

I contemplated getting him banned for scamming but got another seller within a day and was able to just blow it off. I apologized for making him feel blackmailed, sorted it out with Cfrey, and wanted to sort it out with R2p. He didn't want to talk to me for what ever reason

    Final Statement:
I take serious pride in being trusted on Sythe. I give people my phone number when I do business with them. I ALWAYS keep them updated no matter how annoying they may be

Anything I can do to get rid of my Trade With Caution rank, I will do promptly to get rid of this

I take huge pride in EnlightenMe, Cfrey, and my business and wish to continue it without people weeding out competition (me) needlessly

Thanks and I hope you understand nothing was meant by this. I apologized accordingly. After I apologized, Looberman said he pmed Cfrey and R2p saying I was paying them and that I apologized as well as the fact that we were settled.

I'm still waiting for Looberman to pick up my payment for the transferred mils which he/she has not yet done

    Thanks again,
    Ethan

P.S. I put a ton of time, effort, money, and legitimacy into this site and it's somehow blowing all in my face because someone wants to get rid of competition. Please don't let this happen and get rid of this TWC

    Trade With Caution Dispute

I think this is the real issue here. You still cannot accept that what you did was wrong. He did NOT scam you, scamming you would be taking something without providing you something in return. If he had received money for all the gp and only provided you with a portion of the amount paid for, THAT would constitute as a scam. However, simply deciding to sell his GP elsewhere after you took over a week to xfer does NOT constitute a scam. That is GP that you had not paid for, and therefore cannot claim ownership over, no matter what you want to say.

At the very least I was expecting you to come forward and admit what you did was totally out of line. He did not "owe" you anything, you used blackmail to try and force him to remain in the original verbal agreement. Threatening to prank call him shows you were simply trying to cause him grief in order for him to sell you gold.

Dictionary.com definition for blackmail: any payment extorted by intimidation, as by threats of injurious revelations or accusations.

It wasn't meant as intimidation. It was meant to say don't back out of this in a firm and positive business manner.

I'll easily admit that it wasn't handled the right way but it CERTAINLY doesn't make me deserve TWC.

I thought about it for about 5 min. before I posted it so that I'd be sure there were no problems with it. I thought back to your post with a scammer's phone number on it to just prank call the idiot that scammed me.

    An AGREEMENT IS AN AGREEMENT.

He agreed to sell me the mils and I agreed to pay him for those mils. In the middle of the trade, he backed out, making me lose ALL OF THAT BUSINESS.

He took my agreement and left with the gp he promised me. Therefore he scammed me

HE BACKED OUT OF THE TRADE AFTER IT ALREADY BEGAN!

YOU'RE JUST TRYING TO GET RID OF COMPETITION AND I'M TIRED OF IT

Considering people have been banned before for blackmail, you should consider yourself lucky.

How has he scammed you? Did you get a crappy deal?

    Assumptions are made of fail.

    Yeah. Dispute denied here too.

Protip: It'd help your dispute chances if you stopped making personal attacks on staff members with no evidence at all.

Seems like you got yourself into quite the hole ...

    -----

I deny, seeing as it is only a TWC for the contributions you have made to the site... without them, you would have most likely been permed.
