Well, I just started training range again on my main (yes, that's right, my main) I just got 40-50 today. Before i was using iron knives, but I recently switched my weapon to a dorgeshun c'bow. I can honestly say this will be my weapon of choice from now on. Now only is it semi-fast, but it's the cheapest range xp ever! at 2-3 gp a bolt, it doesnt get much cheaper then that. I'm already hitting 10's and 11's with 50 range! Many people say dorgeshun c'bow is only good for low level people, but I bet someone with 80+ range could use one and be very effective with it. I don't know what it's special attack is as I haven't done the quest yet (if someone could tell me what the special is, i'd be grateful). I just thought I'd post this to see the reactions I'd get.

Ya it's extremely cheap for Range training, very useful. It's special hits more on unaware enemies I think.

 

Yeah, that's what I use. I have never done quest for special though.

 

yes, I've just learned the special:

Special Attack: "Snipe" (costs 80% bar) Fires a shot at your opponent and reduces their Defence level by the amount of damage you inflicted with that single shot. You have a higher chance of hitting with this shot on an unsuspecting target. The c'bow be used without completion of quest, however special cannot be used until the Death to the Dorgeshuun Quest has been completed.

 

I'm sorry but this all sounded so cute how new are you to runescape or members you seem fairly new not picking on you or anything in that nature.

 

HAHA. I'm not new or anything. I've been members 4+ years, but my main got perm banned last year so I quit. I just recently returned and my fail pure is gonna turn into my main. I trained my old main with knives as they didnt have dorgeshuun c'bows when I was training range. I just recently relized that they are very good to train with money-wise (as I'm a little short on cash ATM). In fact, i believe someone with a high enough range could do caves with one.

That's basically it. I was told that these are good to train with so I tried it out and am impressed, simple as that.

 

it is bad for a crossbow tbh..like you could hit like 3 5s with bronze knives or a 10 with bone c bow...your best bet is to train range with knives till 61 then rune c bow with mith bolts. And lol ive kinda gone off the topic i think knives are better then bone c bow although ammo is cheap

 

Yes, knives can hit more often, but i can handle that. This is by far the cheapest way to train range =)

 

havent done the quest before but i dont think dorgeshun c'bow is better than knives...

 

Knives should be cheap enough for an expierenced player who played for 4 years. Dorgeshuun crossbow is really for low lvls...

 

I'd prefer to pay expensive and get quicker xp

 

broad bolts with rune cbow is the best way to train, cost wise and effectiveness. hits as hard as addy bolts and is cheaper than miths.

dorgeshun bow is only good for low lvls - at a higher range lvl, its terrible xp and a waste of time.

 

You can only hit like 16's with 80 Range. I've never seen the special either, sorry.

at 61+ range just use broads and rcbow its waaaaaaaay better, or use mith darts on yaks. Its cheap and pretty dece xp

Hmm...Tbh Dorgeshuun C'Bow is the worst xp ever. If you use knives you can get way faster XP and use the time leftover you have to make even more money.
