Need help buying a phone and a laptop.

I've recently been selected for an exchange program and so, I'm going to live in the USA for a year. I'm going to buy shit load of items before I go there and I need some help.

Phone - I'm really confused about what phone I should get, I've thought Iphone, N-series phones, LG, Blackberry and others. I would really appreciate if you would help me chose. I would use the phone for basically everything. It has to have Wi-Fi capability, 8gb+ memory and 5mp+ camera.

Laptop - I'm pretty good with choosing computer related appliances, but I require help. My budget is around 1500$. The laptop has to have good specifications like, 4gb+ ram, 3.0ghz+, 512gb hard disk, 15" + screen, INBUILT WEBCAM A MUST, inbuilt mic, also most not be too fat, etc. I'd be using it for everything, also. From school work, to gaming, to beginner programing, to general computing, and browsing websites. (I don't want MAC or LINUX)

Help would be appreciate.

I have a Nokia N82 and i really like it.
You could also get a N96 they are really good and has 16GB intern memory.

The only bad thing about those two phones is that the Web browser is a bit annoying.

 

Get an Asus Laptop, I don't know if they have built in webcam versions, but they are pretty good for gaming and general computer stuff.

 

phonewise, get a nokia n95/6. i had one for around 2 months before i returned it in exchange for an iphone. it was an awesome phone...but i just liked the touch interface better than using keys.

 

I'd go with the iPhone. The apps store has some cool stuff, and I've heard the internet on the phone's pretty good.

As for the laptop, I can't help you there, sorry.
