So, I tried to log onto runescape

I haven't played on my account in at least a year so I was going to get on it so I could get some screenshots and sell it.

However, whenever I click "play runescape" my browser automatically closes

same with when I try to log onto the runescape forums, or anything else that requires me to log in. I have a feeling it is java related.. since logging into the forums, game, etc.. all require java.

If you have any idea what this means, please tell me.

 

Reinstall java, or update java. Can you be more specific?

 

I can't really. Whenever I try to access something that uses java, it closes. Doesn't freeze at all, just closes as if i clicked the x.

 

What browser are you using?

 

Firefox.

I uninstalled Java and it fixed it. I'm installing the new version of Java so I'll be back with updates.

 

This is what i would do:

1) Clear temp. internet files and cookies, if that doesn't work...
2) Restart/Shut down, if that doesn't work...
3) Reinstall Java, JDK, etc, if that doesn't work...
4) Virus scan your computer, if nothing comes up...
5) Just look around on the internet

Fixed.

I just had to uninstall and reinstall Java.
