    Therapeutic Stem Cell Research

Please state your belief if this practice is ethical and/or beneficial, please also state why. Keep in mind this is different than reproductive stem cell research and I'm referring to cells from embryos, but adult stem cells can still be discussed.

...Anyhow, here's my input. First and most foremost, I'm for abortion. I believe it's the mother's/parent's choice, and if they don't want the baby why should it be born? The parent's are obviously not going to have genuine love for the baby and it would be a waste of tax-payers' money. This leads to my acceptance of therapeutic stem cell research. The embryos have been aborted, they're scrap, and if the parent's have a decent head on their shoulders they would donate the embryo's cells to science. This practice greatly advances are awareness and defense against fatal diseases. I just don't see why not? Why was there a bar on this in the US for 8 years?

Keep in mind, if you believe stem cell research is wrong then you shouldn't receive the benefits of it. If you're out there protesting the death and mistreatment of babies, and all of a sudden medical scientists find the cure for cancer, you're gonna want to have the option for vaccination right? Well, why should you? It's unethical right?

*Please don't flame each other; have fun.

Stem cell research is completely ethical...it's pretty sad people are against doing research on simple cells just because they are human cells.

I believe it is ok in some ways. Like as of now i believe it is ok, but in the future they may go to far, and kill embryos just for stem cell research, so until its hits that max i am fine with it
