Marijuana testicular cancer link

Frequent or long-term marijuana use may raise a man's risk of testicular cancer, American research suggests.

Just because the numbers of testicular cancer are slightly higher in Marijuana smokers, doesn't mean they're linked.
Show me some scientific evidence and I may think this isn't one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.

Weed has always been "bad". But it's not bad to the extent that you shouldn't do it. A ton of shit causes cancer. Being out in the sun causes cancer, eating fast food causes cancer, drinking coke zero causes cancer, should I not do all those too?

 

Even if Marijuana does cause testicular cancer, this statement is very true.

 

In fact, the link that you provided does not even prove ANYTHING. Just because the majority of the people with that cancer smoked weed, doesn't mean the weed caused it.

The majority of weed smokers have a lower grade average then people who do not smoke weed. Does that mean that weed makes you dumb? Maybe people with lower grade averages have a tendacy to smoke weed more. This shows a link, a correlation, not that fact that Marijuana causes cancer.

It also makes sex better, food better, music better, movies better, life better. Less mess to clean up? Or not smoke? hmm...

First, there is a reason that they use words such as "link", or "may raise". This study is not conclusive - many more tests/trials are needed before any causal relationship can be established.

Second, even if there is a causal relationship, what of it? It doesn't make the drug "bad", it just means that those who smoke it will be at greater risk for a certain type of cancer. There are worse things you could do to yourself.

And there's a lot more research that would have to be done in order to be more confident that marijuana use really is important in a man's risk of developing testicular cancer," Schwartz said in a telephone interview."

Any idiot buying into these "may or may not" studies like OP really need to learn to read properly.

Did you even read anything posted or just the topic title? There is no conclusive evidence, there has been research done but it is still a "may or may not" situation.
