Problem with loading RuneScape

I've been wanting to create a very basic RuneScape client, so I started off by setting up the browser. The program compiled correctly and the window came up with RuneScape main page open in the browser as I wanted.

When I click on one of the play RuneScape buttons on the main page it navigates there but then the window crashes and says "vshost.exe has stopped working".

I have tried doing the same in VB .net and I get the same error. I built the project and ran it from the exe but then it just says "Project1.exe has stopped working".

EDIT: I just tested it on XP and it works fine so the problem must be Vista. Does anyone know how I can fix this on Vista?

 

Are you using Visual Studio 2005? Vista requires VStudio 2005 SP1 to be completely compatable. SP1 can be downloaded from Microsoft/MSDN.

If so, I recommend you use Visual Studio 2008.

If using neither fixes your problem, then I have no idea.

 

I'm using Visual Studio 2008 and I've got .NET 3.5 SP1.

Are there perhaps other ways in which I can load a Java applet in my C# app?

 

You're using the WebBrowser control right?

If so I suggest you start off loading the front page(of runescape) then go to play now -> Java options -> and Force Sun Java.

I honestly have no idea why or if this will help its just another thing you can try.

From what I can tell the WebBrowser control is basically IE(correct me if this is wrong)..
