Dubai: The Next Best city on Earth. (MUST SEE!!!)

Dubai is a city in the United Arab Emirates, it is the fast growing city in the World!

Future Super Skyscrapers:

Dubai is home to the tallest man made structure in the world at 2684 feet!!!!
Is taller then most mountains!!!

In the nest 10 years a new Giant will awake and its Nakheel Harbour Tower and it will be more then 1 kilometer tall!!!

I'm totally going to live there!

I heard a lot of good things about it. My friend went there a few years ago, I would like to go there.

yeah, an earthquake would rock that place's world.

I am going to wait a little while and see if anything happens to it. If nothing else happens i'll consider checking it out more.

 

I saw that place on discovery channel alot..

 

It's a really cool place, they're planning to build a building that will be almost a mile high.

 

I would assume that they took earthquakes into consideration... If they didn't they really need to rethink their ideas... :/

 

They do, a lot of the buildings are designed to withstand earthquakes. I don't think they can build certain buildings as high as they originally planned though due to the soil in the area.

 

Dubai is the next Manhattan. Their making a spinning skyscraper. Like com'on the future is staring us in the face.

 

Anything related to the UAE is awesome. They have a lot of awesome things and are loaded with money for being such a small country.

 

Ya, there was like nothing there 20-30 years ago, it's surprising how much oil has helped them grow.

 

I'm surprised they're doing so well in that unstable area. Then again oil = power, at least until they run out.

Wow, Dubai is growing fast. I saw that it was like a desert and in no time, skyscrapers were spreading across it.

 

1. They aren't that far away from Somalia, a country that's completely falling apart.

2. Various wars are occurring within their region (i.e Iraq)

3. Israel, a country with nuclear weapons, doesn't really like the countries surrounding the UAE. They could turn into the Belgium of WW1. Granted the invasion of Saudi Arabia is unlikely due to the presence of Makkah, although Israel is Jewish.

 

I think people in the UAE keep to themselves while they bath in their gold. They are a very very little country probably couldn't even put up a fight and I don't think anyone has an issue with them.
