warning Jagex using Failsafe for pins

today when i was surfing rsbot i found this

t seems that Jagex have implemented a fail-safe to there Pin system.

This has been proven between myself and Aelin.

    Jagex Customer Support:

Quote:Dear XXXXX, Thank you for contacting Jagex Billing Support. The PIN you have provided was not purchased in the country you are logging in from. As such, you cannot use it for membership on this account. You will need to call SurfPin from your own telephone number in order to subscribe your account in this way. I hope that this resolves your query. Please always refer to the Game Guide

    Cheers,

    Sp3sh

P.s. If you try this using a proxy let us know if it worked.

Ouch, that sucks for PIN sellers... Makes me relieved that I stopped selling PINs before this was implemented.

This is good, means less rwt for pins. More legitimate players now.

If I may ask, why in the hell are you a member of a cheating community, if you want more legitimate players... Seems somewhat odd if you ask me.

    Lol agree'd with n4n0

Just means people will have to advertise what country the pins come from.

    /doesn'tmatter

Who cares, just find a pin seller from your own country. It's not the end of the world, or how about you just ring in and pay the 5 or so bucks to get one?

There's two threads about this btw.

If anything, they have prepaid cards that they sell in the US in target now too. They have plenty of ways to get membership other than PIN's. Go mow your neighbors lawn for $10 and go buy your own membership.

    OH FUCK

there's no pin service in Israel at the moment, so im getting my pins from a regular pin seller who lives in Belgium....

i simply changed my account details so it says i live in belgium, does it mean it wont fucking work for now on because they have a way of spotting that im logging from Israel?

    oh fuck that sucks...

They're really trying to stop RWT. It's going to be hard to get Dutch pins for me now.

Abit of a bummer for Pin Sellers. The only thing they will have to do is to sell Pins to people in there Country.

You can ask the pin seller to put the pin for you...And if you still get that message you should get a refund from the seller or sell it to someone from that country.

Isn't there a way where you can switch the country where your from?

One time I was buying a pin from the UK, and it wouldn't let me redeem it, so the seller told me to switch my country to the UK (I forget where that option is), from the United States and the pin worked.
