    Are The Diseased Considered Inferior?

After reading a few posts in a previous thread, I came about a question; Are those who have certain diseases or birth defects considered inferior in our society.

For example, is a seventeen year old with autism considered inferior? or Is a mute considered inferior based on the modern views of society?

I don't particularly think these people are considered inferior by the general public, but I do believe that these people have a inferior advantage in areas such as; job markets, daily life, etc.

Well of course they will be discriminated against in a job market, because they may not be able to complete the task as efficient as a "normal."

But individually and personally, I find them more interesting to indulge in conversations with. They, more than others, have different perspectives, and are fun to talk to.

I'd say people do especially when considering hiring them. They might be unstable and such or might not be able to do the work to maximum efficiency. Therefore it's much easier to hire someone without problems.

"promblems" they dont have promblems tbh they are more likely chosen from the state of belief that they have this disease and it some how makes them uncapable, they as easily capable and it shouldnt be taken on that and how they work instead

People with disabilities do have their place in the world, and are, in some ways, inferior to people without these problems. They are often discriminated against, such as in the job markets and daily life, as Analog said.

    Are The Diseased Considered Inferior?

Yes, they are considered inferior, often because the disease or defect they have limits their thought, or movement ect.

This makes society say they can't do what we can, as well as we can. Making them lower than us.

Black people aren't allowed on night patrol for security because they're less visible.

That statement was false, but it'd be true if everyone thought like a douchebag like you do.

The true gears that comment is so one minded.
Many can live normal lives and do most things we can and just because they have certain limitations doesn't mean they should be considered any less than us.
I mean, look at people with Autism, they can often excell in certain areas, such as chemistry etc and have a wider understanding of it than most people. Does that then make you inferior to them?

    Unfortunately,

People that do not have the same abilities as most of society will always be looked down upon.

I've also noticed that society sees that people who are mentally handicapped inferioir and it sickens me. The fact that people say "what are you mentally retarded" really annoys me, you dont see people through blind or deff jokes out there.

ROFLMAO, Rushie, that's hilarious. I agree with you. I'm posting to mention that was the funniest thing I read on Sythe yet.

I guess now that I'm posting I may as well comment on the OP's question...

I don't think anybody is inferior to me. I think everyone is equal. But society, at least in America, has a big capitalist edge, and that makes the diseased or disabled inferior in their minds. (After all, are they going to be happy with a bed-ridden mentally handicapped person making the same salary as a greedy businessman?) Capitalism leaves no room for socialism, and without socialism there will be no care for anybody who brings no profit to the table. I'm happy that America also has a big socialist edge. It helps bring some compassion to a world with little of it.

People tend to think someone that benefits him to have value and someone who requires resources without giving back much to have little value. That's why handicapped people tend to make a hell of a lot less money. They don't produce, so we don't pay. (By "we" I mean us as an entire society, and I don't actually mean I agree.)

So are the diseased condsidered inferior? Yes, unfortunately.

P.S. I think I'm gonna make that comment my signature for a while. Lol.

People definetly arn't equal. Everyone is different and has advantages/disadvtanages. Some diseases that would make you have a chance to die earlier wouldn't make you considered inferior if you still were able to act normal.

No because in the end we are all human beings who despite having a disability or not, live on this earth.

Like Finn said, there could be a difference, someone with a bigger disability might be considered.

If the severity of the disability is one that hinders the ability of the person to complete various functions in everyday life, then in that sense they are inferior.
