    Internet Regulation

I say we regulate the internet and ban all offensive material like porn and violence. God doesn't want us to look at that stuff anyways. Plus, my parents always told me it leads to a Democratic congress, and my dad says the fact an African American got elected president is proof the internet corrupts the public. I don't know. Personally I think black people should have almost the same rights as white people because they're pretty much the same. I do agree that the internet is a safe haven for terrorists like Iraq though.

    What do you guys think?

I really hope you are joking because if your not then you should seriously commit suicide. Well, first kill your parents for the stupidity they are spreading.

I don't understand if this is sarcastic or not? If it is not, why must you ban offensive or violent material? People can steer clear of it on their own.

Sarcastic? Don't troll my thread you asshat. This is a serious discussion. Don't bother posting again unless you act serious or I'll report you for spamming. That's your warning.

People can't just "steer clear of it on their own" when there are ads talking about viagra and increasing sex drives on EVERY site. People don't want to see that stuff. Also, little kids can log on there when their parents aren't home or if they go to their friends house where there aren't censors installed like there are at my house and view porn. Like, actual people having sex. Are you ok with that? God says sex is an act between a married couple (not 2 guys either), not something you just watch.

Well the internet regulation movement has been having some success in Australia. It's just a matter of time until the US sees that the Aussies had it right.

No, no censorship. "God" didn't want a lot of things to have happened but they did. I don't see how porn is a big deal, and as for violence -- it's all around us. Internet, I think is the best source for knowledge if used right and censorship is wrong.

No Jesse. Internet porn is worse. I accidently clicked something once and there was porn AND violence, in the SAME video. They were using whips or something. You can't tell me that' natural. Plus they were gay for boys but still had a girl in there too. Idk a lot about it or how it works, but I DO know it was gross and totally NOT the same as the porn Seers magazines have with the girls in the bras and stuff.

P.S. God isn't an opinion. It's a fact. The bible is evidence of it and if you're too stupid to realize that there's no use in me trying to rational with you. Tell me, how could a book be around for that long and not be written by god? Also, there are still parts of dinosaurs still here, proving the earth isn't that old. Otherwise the bones and stuff would have decomposed. It's basic science really. :/

First off, your dad obviously is pretty ignorant. That's no offense meant to be brought to you, your dad, or your family, but I bet the only reason he would even THINK about Obama being a "terrorist" was because of some other red neck hick wanting the rich get richer, even though we are in an economic depression. Second off, it's IMPOSSIBLE to regulate something so many people go on. Think - can one government control a battlefield of hackers and exploiters? It would just be a failed attempt; a waste of time.

well the internet is fine as long as you know how to use it honestly i find there to be no need for censorship use the internet at your own risk and if you dont want to run into something bad than dont you basically control what happens just play it safe =/

I think Cuba is a major issue too though. Ever since they have had computers, the internet has been getting crappier. I mean, look at how much illegal stuff there is. The warez, the cp, etc. I say take away electricity for those countries.

I don't think it's possible to regulate the Internet. There will always be a way to get around stuff, just like there is now.
The Internet is a lost cause.

I wholeheartedly agree. I don't understand how god hasn't smote us all for such pure ignorance and heathenry. My parents also told me that democrats were similar to devil jews and we will all eventually ascend above them. I also do not understand how an obvious internationally proclaimed terrorist was elected president.

I guess it just shows how truly ignorant everyone in America is. Oh well.

That was probably the most offensive thing I have seen in a long time. People like you should be censored from the internet. You're what they call "internet bullies." I read a whole pamphlet about this from school so I know what I'm talking about. Also, I never said Obama was a terrorist.

You could easily regulate the internet by controlling the traffic coming in and out of the nation, and by keeping close tabs on traffic within the country. Place stiff fines and even jail time for people posting extremely obscene things, like violence, porn and gangster rap. I doubt people will post pictures of nude people if they will be fined a couple thousand dollars.
